TAMPA, Fla. — A former teacher serving house arrest for having sex with a 14-year-old student was arrested on charges of violating her probation, state records show.

According to a Department of Corrections report, Debra Lafave discussed her personal life and other subjects with a teenage waitress at a restaurant where both worked. One of the terms of her probation was that she was not allowed to have unsupervised contact with minors without permission.

Lafave, 26, is serving three years of house arrest and seven years of probation after pleading guilty to having sex with the boy in a classroom and her home in June 2004.

Yeah, I do still think it's the same thing! She's a grown adult and he's a child just the same as if a hot male teacher was having sex with an underaged girl! To me it is irrelevant how she looks. I actually knew of a 16 year old guy having sex with a 30 something year old woman when I was in high school.

When the child-sex-offender statutes go to such an extreme that the offender has to put up a sign in the front yard telling Trick-or-Treaters to Stay Away, you can see to what extent a probation officer could go. It's a typical over reaction of the nanny government.

I can't wait for some common sense to get into the society, but I suspect that may not be until my eventual grandchildren are my age.

Isn't this the chick that had sex with the student that was REALLY young? Like 13 or 14? There is a HUGE difference between a 13 year old and a 16 year old. An 8th grader and a junior in high school. Most men would want to castrate a "Hot Male Teacher" who had sex with their 14 year old daughter but if some "Hot Female Teacher" has sex with their 14 year old son it's Go gettem Tiger! There was not one 14 year old friend of my son's that walked in our door that I would have ever considered having a sexual relationship with.
