Do you need to be premo to get .gif files to move in your AV?

What happened to your premo? It is looking a little limp.

I tried changing the properties with your avatar, adjusting size, etc. Can't seem to get the animation function to work, either. When I tried to upload it from photobucket, it said unable to load temporary file. When I uploaded from my PC, the image had no animation.

Don't know what to tell ya, LS. Unless someone who has run into a similar situation has the secret...

This is the exact same thing I run into when trying to use animated avatars. I also use Photobucket and get the same error. Anyone have any suggestions? I've come across a few really cute ones I would like to use. TIA!

Here's one that's a direct link from Photobucket:

http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p46/belvak05/newyear3.gif

Here are some from another site:

Free animated animals and bird avatars (http://www.fullfreestuff.com/free-graphics/free_avatars/free-animated-avatars.shtml)

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to make these animated avatars work!! Good Luck!!

Resize it at gifworks.com.

Resize it at gifworks.com.

I'll try to fool with that tomorrow. The only thing is, I don't get any message saying they are too big. Just that the file type is not correct (or something to that effect). Thanks for the tip!

I've tried to make this work as my avatar but gif works can't even reduce the file size right to make this work. Can anyone help? I can make it 64 x 64 but the file size is still too large and I'm getting frustrated. :twitch:

I made it 100x100 and 46KB - it should work. Let me know if it doesn't.

Thanks! I still had to reduce it to 64 x 64 but this time it worked!
