Cripes! First a videogame system before Christmas and now a car! Wonder if any of the kids are paying attention.
Good post, libby.

I agree. I'm thinking this is news worthy because of the ad. To answer your question, yes parenting, in general, as become so lax. My mom made me sell my video games after I screwed up big time. I bought everything but the system. I didn't even get $100. Quite a kick in the pants, but learned a valuable lesson.

Damn! It's an Olds Intrigue! You need to get on that
Sell the car my ass, I would have gone out bought a bottle of Tequila, made him drink until he could barely walk and then run him for miles.

:lmao: Wow, that brings back some memories! I stole a candy bar once. My mom made me write a letter to the manager of the store, then bought a whole box and made me eat every single one of them in a single sitting. I couldn't LOOK at a snickers for years! :lmao:

Well, nowadays its difficult to discipline your children in public because the store cameras record it and its reported as child abuse. While I am not trying to defend slacker parents, I can't ignore the invasion of privacy.

Nah, I would have kept the car so that he could still run errands for me, but that would be all he could use it for.
