Part of me hopes so, part of me doesn't. When I first moved into the house on Spruce, we had blacktop. We also had idiots who thought they could drive very fast on blacktop, and I'd be making police reports every weekend for the jerks that hit my maple tree or ran into the guard rail. A few years later, Spruce was paved over with tar & bluestone. Immediately, and ever since, the number of accidents and idiot Grand Prix wannabes has diminished. They don't like driving fast on bluestone. Not saying there aren't fast drivers still, just not like it used to be.

Yeah thankfully it did slow people down on Spruce. I honestly think they should leave it alone. I used to have to say a little prayer before I turned off Chestnut onto Spruce that someone wouldn't come flying over the hill and nail me.

I think they may be going to re-do Woodlawn. I noticed yesterday that some areas at the edge of the road had been scraped down to the dirt . . .

i took teh back ways.. spruce to gunston to my road past where they are paving :0
