Hubby and I are looking to go with one or the other. Need some input on service, how often does it go out, any issues that you guys can think of.

Have had Directv for about ten years and it is great.

Very seldom do I have any issues.

Very happy customer

We've been with DirecTV for 3 years - No problems.

Satellite has gone out ONE time and a service person was here the next day.

I give them :yay::yay:

I've been with DirecTV for 4 years now and I am very happy. I'll never go back to cable. I wouldn't even move to a house that couldn't have DirecTV.

They have more HD channels than other companies right now.

Had DirecTV for 14 years - not one problem - never needed service. Only when very heavy rain or ice storm it will go out, but that's with all satellite dishes.

DTV wins hands down (my opinion)......

More National HD then anyone.....

More Sports.......Sunday Ticket, MLB innings, NBA League Pass, NHL, MLS, College Football Sports pack, etc..

Better Price

Flat $5.99 DVR fee. Have as many as you want. Dish you pay DVR service for each box.

D11 made it into space and is close to being in position. D11 will give Direct TV more capacity to add even more HD.

AMC-14 failed after launch for DISH and has now pull them in serious trouble. They will fall way behind now on adding HD.

14 years I have been a loyal Direct TV subscriber.....No problems at all.

Another Direct Tv...plus the NFL Sunday Ticket. Gotta watch the Dolphins somehow (though hopefully it will not be watching them lose this year).

Well, us Fin fans are few and far between. Dolphin household here and that's exactly why we get the NFL Sunday ticket:)

I had Direct TV for 8 years switched to Dish for cheaper rates 2 years ago
have had nothing but trouble with the Dish equipment and ended up paying
more for the service. They do charge hidden cost.

Went back to Direct TV.

My father had Dirct TV as well. He was going to go with DISH at first, but the satellites were lower in the horizon compared to Direct TV so the signal was weak and would cause problems.
