:yay: Pre-Ordered it via best Buy about a month ago. I'm sure the game will be good. I pre-ordered mario Kart as well, probably play that for an hour or so and then the Wii won't see anything time for a few more months. :doh:

i also preordered it from best buy...figure my reward zone bucks and coupons will pay for it by themselves...

i accidentally picked up the "Special Edition" Box when I pre-ordered......it is like 90 bucks for a backpack and crap i really don't want. I'm hoping they let me just get the game....

I'd call them, TODAY. Orders done on-line can be a HUGE pain in the butt. I'd call them and let them know what you wanted to buy because if you go in the store to pick it up and tell them you want to switch, then they'll have to cancel the on-line order and with the reward zone cash, that's just going to turn your quick pick-up into a long nightmare (speaking from experience).

The GTA series is made by RockStar Games not EA, but I think at one point EA was trying to buy out TakeTwo/RockStar.....i don't know if they ever succeeded?

if by saying Wii gamers got screwed over because GTA is not available for Wii, which i don't know if it is \ or not.... I didn't think the Wii was built for that type of gaming...i thought wii was built for more group interactive games....

i've got a 360 and a PS3....yes pathetic I know, but the XBOX was out how long before the PS3? Anyway, I thought about getting Wii, and then I played one and just wasn't feeling it.. I mean it's cool for kids but the challenge just really wasn't there for me....If i'm going to play baseball, i'll play baseball...not just swing some remote control looking thing mindlessly through the air...I think it's great that they are working towards an interactive simulator that is affordable you can have in your home, but until it's developed further I think i'll just stick with my other systems...

Dude....Best Buy was a show....I went in there a little bit ago, they had a million GTA's in the front, grabbed one and went to the register with my pre-order reciept. The manager came over and said i had to go to customer service with my preorder...which had a line of like 9 people and one cashier...i was like screw that, keep my five dollars.....the dude at the register was cool though and took 5 off of the price. Maybe he should be the manager instead of the lady with zero customer service skills...

I just bought a copy on BB online for in-store pickup on the way home. I suppose I should plan on waiting in line a while. :ohwell:

i'm gonna be a POS and skip the gym tonight.....should be interesting tomorrow to see what everyone thought of it.

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players alike reporting crash problems with Rockstar Games' latest; publisher keeps quiet.

Last month, the launch of Rockstar Games' Bully on the Xbox 360 was marred by a bevy of crash bugs and other glitches. With this morning's heavily anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto IV for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Rockstar finds itself dealing with still more troubleshooting trouble, as online forums are buzzing with reports of crashes.

Combing through crash threads on the Xbox.com forums, Sony's official message boards, GameSpot, and the NeoGAF forums, it seems that the issues are affecting PlayStation 3 users more frequently, although gamers with both systems are reporting problems. Reports of crashes on the 60GB version of the PS3 hardware are the most common, and tech support advice like deleting and re-installing the game doesn't appear to address the issue effectively.

As of press time, Rockstar has not responded to requests for comment. A representative with Rockstar parent company Take-Two Interactive declined to comment on the issue.

years of playing nothing but sports games have seriously taken their toll....i got through like two or three levels last night...but i had to do them over like three or four times each.

I had to do enough missions that i could get me a gun....I'm sure i'll get stuck on a mission then go find the highest building to drive a golf cart off of ...:killingme

Ummm... sort of... if you've ever used Nike+ with an iPod, it has stat tracking (miles walked, etc...)

It measures miles walked/ran, miles swam, car jackings, rounds shot, etc... it's just something to entertain you... worthless stats but kind of fun to try to get while you're just playing around too. They just figured another way t keep the player's attention.

yeah so i think i'm at the end...I got killed twice in the boat chasing Dimitri in the helicopter and decided to turn it off....I went ahead and did the deal instead of going to kill Dimitri..I drove around for awhile trying to figure out what to do...i guess in the end i decided that

A. If i did it I hopefully would get the money and still get a chance to kill him.

B. Who cares what Kate thinks? I've wasted so much time taking her places and my boy NB hasn't gotten anywhere...

See i did the opposite. I did the deal..he double crossed Phil and I, we had to kill a bunch of dudes and steal the money...then i went to the wedding, and Dimitri sent an assain, he killed Roman and then Little Jacob and I went after Dimitri....so I've obviously got a different ending than you did...
