You tell us talking on a cell phone while driving is a $50 fine, but you think you're above the law.
The MA in the marked car with plate G11 3311F at 9:20am this morning turning right from Buse onto Tate thinks this law doesn't apply to him.

Haha twisted cop, hypocritical cop. Call them what you want but I have better things to worry about than one cop talking on his phone.

Maybe it doesn't. If cops are on duty, I prefer they be able to contact and be contacted.
Your phone call, on the other hand, most likely isn't that important and can wait until you're not driving.

If only there was some sort of device that a policeman could carry... Something they could attach to their belt, and maybe press a button to talk. So they could "Walk" and "Talk" at the same time.
Or a similar device that they could put in their cruisers, where they could broadcast important messages to others. Some sort of radio maybe, that uses a frequency band dedicated to these types of messages.

Not always. I got called home for a nooner yesterday. Say what you will - but nothing is more important than that.

Tis true, it does NOT apply to emergency personell, as noted, thats right in the instruction. And, just as a note of interest, we who are not such may not only not use cell phones, we may not use bluetooth headsets, or any other device that obscures the ear.
So, its either a wired/bluetooth speakerphone module, like this
Amazon.com: MOTOROKR T505: Cell Phones & Service (http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-T505-MOTOROKR/dp/B000WTM552/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_k2a_1_txt?pf_rd_p=304485601&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-2&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00065SPHY&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1J59228H9RPFZ6PYE853)
or an integrated system like Dodges Uconnect.

MA is Master at Arms, the Navy's Military Police rating. And no doubt he was receiving a tactical comm from CINC-HOUSE concerning loafs of bread, a dozen henfruit, two liters of cow juice and half a kilo of butter.

What the station Police do on a military installation is none of your dayum business. You are thinking in civilian terms of law and order, and civilian rights. Too bad. Once you set foot on a military installation, you play by their rules. The station police have a job to do and how they do their job is by military standards. You don't like the rules, LEAVE. Who in the hell do you think you are anyway? I hope they catch your azz talking on your cell and fine you double, and on base it's a Federal ticket or it used to be when I was active duty.

Not my hearing aid? What....What?
I'm pretty sure that hearing aids were exempted, since they amplify ambient sound, not reduce it:) I actually had the instruction back when it first came out, as at that time I was using a bluetooth earpiece. I occasionally travel around base, and really need to make and receive calls while on the move.
Luckily for me, not long after that, I got a new car that has it built in, so its not an issue. And for those wondering, as a retired aircrewman who had thousands of flight hours, I'm very well versed in task managment , meaning driving always, always, overrides conversation.

I love the base policy on no cell phone yapping while driving, and the rule has been in place since January 1st 2007 but obviously not everyone got the memo. The signs finally started reminding people about the base policy when 3 different idiots (all woman) were yapping on their phones and failed to stop for taxiing aircraft on the runways (even with the flashing red light, big stop sign and warning sign cautioning drivers to yield to taxiing aircraft...
These fighters and other aircraft on base are worth Millions, not to mention most are involved with Research and Development in technology advances so I'm going to go out on a limb here and state your phone calls while driving are not more important twits!!! :buttkick:
