:yeahthat: I've walked down there quite often recently and other than short fancy walkways along a portion of the water... there's nothing there for the general public...

Interesting houses. Reminds me of Key West for some reason. Is there anything down there except houses?

I think I remember a sign with that little price on it. No way they're worth that just for waterfront/waterview. Heck we have waterview from our houses (in the winter) :lmao:

Last time I checked on that little blue house they were asking $499K. It's been empty for over a year now.

So what are the words on the compass rose?
C'mon some of you smart people. What are these runes they have inscribed on our land? Are they devil worshipers? Druid priests? Dumb A$$es? What?
Here are the words.
Africus,Ostra, Syroco, Levante, Greco, Tramontana.

Good job! Here is what I have found so far:
Sirocco - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sirocco)
That isn't the spelling they used, but I suspect it's just a different langauge.
Levantades: Gales blowing from between north-northeast and east-northeast from the east coast of Spain. These gales are generally associated with slow-moving depressions (lows) crossing the Mediterranean between France and Algeria. They blow most frequently in spring (February to May) and autumn (October to December).

As a kid I always wondered why the little pump house at the bottom of the hill always exhausted out of its stack through the roof. Of course growing up around Leonardtown back then did'nt take much to intrigue us, cardboard box forts and so on...

Classical names of the 8 wind directions:
Wind Rose (http://web.uflib.ufl.edu/cm/africana/windrose.htm)
The eight so-called rhumbs known to Mediterranean sailors in modern Italian (notice that these latter names match the initials around the wind rose itself, except for the Levant to the East, which is indicated by a cross)
