Become part of the St. Mary’s Animal Welfare League (SMAWL) foster care program and you could make the difference in a pets life. Being a Foster Parent really does save lives! It is one of the most loving and kind things you can do, and you receive the wonderful feeling of knowing that you are saving the life of an animal in need. If by now you are saying, "Tell me what to do now!", then let me say it couldn't be easier. Please check out our web site at SMAWL - St. Mary's Animal Welfare League: Home Page (http://www.smawl.org) and fill out our volunteer form.

Unfortunately it is raining dogs here in the county. The following dogs were either strays that no one is looking for, intentionally abandoned or pulled from Tri-county animal shelter. All are in need of foster homes. They have been vetted and are looking for a foster home. If you have room in your hearts and home for just one more please let us know.
Ironman beagle, male, Very sweet, housebroken, Age 2 will be neutered soon, fine with other dogs. Most likely abandoned or a stray no one is looking for.
Abella, Terrier mix, Very sweet, housebroken, about 2 yrs, has been spayed, fine with other dogs, she is shy at first. She does need some leash work. Abella was a stray that was pulled out of Tri-county animal shelter.
Hudson # Beagle, male, very sweet, Housebroken, Age 2, is under heartworm treatment and will be neutered after treatment is completed, Is fine with other dogs. Most likely abandoned or a stray no one is looking for.
