Yeah the weapons are cooler in COD4...the game's absolutely great and I love playing COD4, but my all time favorite is still the North African campaign back in COD2.

World at War is supposed to used the CoD4 engine.

I agree, i never play CoD3 anymore either.

I never even finished COD1.

I like the Medal of Honor series better.

They are using the ssame engine as cod 2 and 4... its not going to be like cod3--- it will have that smooth gameplay/movement like 2 and 4

People are playing the Beta right now on Live. From what I'm hearing, it's pretty damn good. Minus the typical Beta style glitches.

Game comes out Tuesday. 11/11. The beta can be download on xbox live marketplace now. They fixed have pacthed the glitches.

Get COD World at War early at Gamestop 11/10/08 after 5:00pm thats today may only be for pre-orders. Gametsop made a deal with Activison to make this happen.

If you do get it, let us know how big the multiplayer maps are. Every one in the beta was too small to enjoy.

Aye, that was a huge problem I had with the Beta. You can spawn....anywhere it seems, I once spawned in front of a camper unloading clip after clip at the spawn location to rack up the kills.

Playing online multiplayer is quite addictive.

Yea I give it a thumbs up. It is different for sure. I find it a little slower, the weapons a bit more crude but the maps rock.

cool....your damn right it's addictive...i went from lvl. 2 to 9 last night in 2 hours....It felt like 30 minutes, but when i looked up at the clock I was like crap! The Bootcamp maps were great, because everyone sucked as bad as I did....

I don't think it is actually a matter of sucking, but these maps are fairly big compared to COD4....once you get the maps down it is a lot easier....

If you go on and just join a game, let the system find a game for you it works great. I've done Team Deathmatch.. Free for All.. it's all VERY good. The machine gun with the Cylindrical magazine is da bom.. rarely do you have to reload,, and that damn thing has some range on it.

But try to invite a friend to join you, or to answer a friend invite is near impossible. I was invited probably 25 times last night, and not ONE time did it work. 'Server Not Available'.. 'Game no longer available'.. etc.. etc.

My son and I want to work through the game level by level together online in coop mode.. buy we can never get linked.. it times out, or tells us server not available.

A buddy and I have hooked up in Team Deathmatch a couple of times, But it hard to stay together, with all the dying and respawning. So we gave up and just play on the same team and occasionally meet up. Haven't tried coop yet.

this is exactly what I was talking about.....we got one game in, and started another but the damn host ended the game because he got killed or something....then we started another and lost connection to the host...

I have no problems playing by myself, but when i try to play with others in a group it becomes a mess.

There was a gaming store down there that would allow the St. Mary's College WoW group stay through the night. I never went, but I know it was cheap enough that we got it paid for through the frugal student government hands.

If you can't connect to a certain party just send them a message. Usually one person in that party will have to start another party and then everyone can join.

If a party sits for a while it will happen. If the user who starts the party accidentally puts the party on private it will happen.

Boy has this game and all is well until he goes to download the patch. After it downloads it says it can't be put into the folder because the game isn't there. The game IS there. Then it gives an 1305 error.

death cards are treyarch's version of the skulls you can find in halo. they unlock different quirks to make the game replayable. for example, one unlocks a campaign mode where you shoot paintballs instead of bullets. all in all, just something different, so you dont feel like you are playing cod4's campaign for the 500th time. even though you are.
