Since my cell contract with Verizon is up, I can now get out of it.
My plans were to drop my phone since I have used it for a total of 10 minutes in the last 4 months, drop my wifes phone since she carries a work phone that she can use, and just leave my daughters phone on.

I was going to get her one of those phones that do everything, not the chocolate, but the a new one that does more. I think its called the Venus or anus or something like that.

I was going to get one of those pre loaded phones and use it. I figure at my current rate, 100 minutes of air time would last me well over a year.

Radio shack has one of the phones I mentioned for me.
Over the phone is a sign that says
10 cent per minute with x number of purchased minutes
07 cent per minute with x number of minutes
03 cent per minute to mexico.:burning:

the sales person at the radio shack assured me that there was no way to get 03 cent per minute for in country calls.

I refused to purchase anything.

What has gone so wrong in this country as to have to press 1 for english, search instruction books for the english section, pay over 2 to 3 times the amount for phone that one of the filty illegals pay.

We need a new independence day, one that marks the day we grew some balls and took this country back.

I understand your point. My husband served in the military as well as most of my family and his. The thing I do not understand is was this country not built on those coming from other countries? I do not agree with those that come here that desecreate our flag. I do however feel that since this country was built from people of other countries why should we stop anyone from coming here?

that includes learning our form of government, learning english, paying taxes, not sucking off of assitance, not committing crimes (jumping the border is a federal offense) dont expect me to learn your bean eating language just to communicate with you. dont jump the border then raise your filthy flag claiming this as your land.

While I believe that people should learn English in order to be in this country, how many people bother to learn another language before visiting another country? Verizon I know has three prepaid plans. The one I have takes $.99 a day and all of your calls to those that are on Verizon network you do not get charged for other than the $.99. Then they have one that takes I believe $1.99, and one takes $2.99 a day. I am not sure how those work though.

back in the day somebody that was caught messing up the flag could be sent to jail. ACLU stopped that.

there is a reason that countries strickley inforce immigration rules and this country does not.
there are an estimated 40 million illegals in this country now, it is a great financial burden on the states to support them. They take up space in our schools, in our colleges they use up housing that could have been used for citizens, the crowd our highways.

of subject but, when we found ourselves heading into the middle of Chicago with 35 ft of trailer during rush hour, the gps was telling me to take all these turns to get back on track. couldnt do it, I hit the onstar button and told the lady my situation, she pinpointed exactly where I was, I told her I had 35 ft of trailer, she figured a way out that would work and talked me through the city and back to the highway using only roads that would accommodate me.
She even made sure I had the toll money ready for the toll road she was sending me on.

net 10 is the cheapest of the prepaid phones.. the phone sells for 29.00 and comes with 300 minutes, you can purchase additional minutes for 10 cents per minute .. walmart carries them and from time to time has the 300 minute time cards on sale for 25$

if you want a more high tech phone you can purchase other styles of phones from their website net10.com

That was my main concern was to be able to contact the police. We were traveling up to Columbia one day out in Missouri for my husband to go to the VA hospital up there. Somehow we missed our turn and went way out of our way and we used OnStar to get to the hospital and made it in time for his appointment.

Before we bought this car we were traveling to Missouri and right around Indianapolis I believe it was they shut the interstate down and we ended up in the city. Well we got out of the city itself back onto the interstate, but we were headed to Chicago and had no idea where to go. My husband has a family friend who was a truck driver and we called him up and he told us what roads to take and all to get back the way we wanted to go. OnStar would have been great then also.

Check best buy, they had some that the service was 5cent a minute. but you had to buy a big block to get that price.

My knee-jerk response was "send them to Mexico," but the problem with that is clearly, Mexico doesn't want them. The accepted number of illegals in this country, primarily (but not exclusively) from Mexico, is 12 Million. That's the number that the pundits and politicos bandy about. Which means that the number is probably closer to double that, at least. The real number makes up close to 10 percent of the population of this country. Factor in the entitlement-minded native citizens, and I'll bet you that the percentage of people sucking at the entitlement teet in this country is close to a quarter of the population.

We haven't even talked about corporate welfare, and the rich whose primary purpose in life is to get richer (somebody has to bear the cost of that). Guess who's paying for that?

I'm really bothered when otherwise rational people trot out the "hate" card. I don't hate Mexicans, or any other race, color, nationality. I hate the mentality that thinks we who pay the bills in this country somehow "owe" other people, and that if we resist that burden, we're racists and/or haters.
