My ex had a dirt bike and I was young and stupid, got mad because he always wanted to go out and ride the bike and I'd be left at home with the baby, so one day I took a big hammer to the engine on that bike and tore it up right in front of him, he was so stunned he didn't even try to stop me. Like I said, I was young and dumb, but I kind of remember that feeling of "playing second fiddle to a toy".
