Has anyone been there? Would like to go in Dec., week b/f Christmas. Any suggestions for where to stay? Most resorts look like they're all inclusive. Oh, we'll be 2 adults and one teenager. TIA!:howdy:

We stayed at the Bavaro Princess (all inclusive) and it was absolutely beautiful. I'm pretty sure all of the rooms are suites and they're REALLY nice. The bathroom is HUGE, there's two sinks, it has a jacuzzi tub, separate shower, separate toilet room ( I don't know what you'd call it, it's a freaking lil room in the bathroom with a toilet, lol). There's big closets, a fridge a big comfy bed and nice size sitting room and a loverly balcony. We went in February, the weather was gorgeous.

Oooh and I forgot about the outside

There's volleyball, banana boat rides (a boat pulls you while you sit on a banana shaped float, hehe, it's funny), buffet's all day, there's a spa, snorkeling, scuba diving, lots of little shops on the beach (just a little walk within eye distance, which is better than them being right there IMO), dance lessons and they offer different tours that you'd have to leave the resort for.

Are you coming to CIP tonight

I searched online before beginning this thread and had picked 3 resorts that I was interested in, and the Bavaro Princess was one of them! :yahoo: Thank you for the personal insight. The Teen Club was a feature I liked, did you have any experience with that? Thanks again for your input!

We also went to Bavaro Princess in May 2008 and it was wonderful. The food isn't gourmet, but is definitely edible and serves its purpose. The beach there is absolutely beautiful!

Oh good, we had such a good time there. Oh yea, it was chilly at night so make sure to bring pants/jeans and a jacket or something. I'm 26, no teens with us, so I can't tell you how that was but if it's anything like the rest of the resort I don't think your teen will be disappointed

I went in January a few years back, I stayed at the Iberostar Dominica. It was great, all inclusive, beach, pools, bars, casino, clubs.

Did you try the mommahuana (sp?)? It was their "special" drink, tastes like cinnamon. That wasn't so much for me but I did LOVE the...aw man, I can't think of what it was called. It was pink, fruity and delicious. If you want more liquor, just ask, they had no problem topping ours off :otter: I have a great picture with one of the bartenders, I'll have to post it tomorrow, lol.

We basically drank the rum punch most of the time. It was delicious. We always asked them to top off w/extra shot and they were quite accommodating!
