Britney Spears loses sole custody to K-Fed, she will pay support and have visitation rights. What a sorry excuse for a pop icon that's lost it all to god knows what, drugs, alcohol, cheap men....
I have no respect for woman who fail their Children - there is no job more important than your kids.

Who the hell are you to judge? I'm not defending her actions, but my god... if you lived life with the camera constantly in your face, wouldn't you be a little freakin' nutty too?
Honestly, have you seen the way the papparazzi attack celebrities, all in the interest of providing "news" to the masses?

It was her choice to jump into the limelight and continue to entertain the paps...everyone makes choices in their lives - there are many celebrities who you only see when they are on the red carpet and are also able to lead private lives. I have no sympathy for her.

Why do people say stuff like this? I'll judge if I want and if you (figuratively) don't want to be judged harshly by me, then you might consider cleaning up your act and not being a retread.

I can't even believe there's another thread about Britney. So she was famous, she's still just a person, like everyone else, only her business is put out for all to see. Big deal, there are a million women (not famous) that are probably dealing with the same type of issues she has, drugs, custody battles, etc., don't see them in the news. It's so old now, let it go.

She should have stayed home in shame for her actions and been shunned by society, not celebrated and made to look like a role model.
Not condoning unwed teen mothers means believing that last sentence. "Bastard" is correct, and a terrible thing to do to another human being (not as bad as sucking it out and running it through a blender, which was legally another choice she had, but....), so I don't see why the person you're quoting deserves a smack.

Gee... and what a poor teen mother she is too... what with her own house and supporting the child on her own.
I don't condone teen pregnancy, but at least she's supporting the child on her own without wasting tax payer's money simply because she wasn't mature enough to realize the need for birth control.

I don't condone teen pregnancy, but at least she's supporting the child on her own without wasting tax payer's money simply because she wasn't mature enough to realize the need for birth control. And, that's good that she has people to take care of her child for her, help her out.... But she's celebrated and made to appear to be a role model to the 99.99% of little girls who CAN'T do that, but now are made believe they can because this little girl is doing it.
My problem isn't that she's taking care of her child (time will tell if she does as poor a job as her own mother, or actually is a decent mother - it certainly isn't a given right now), it's that she's portrayed by the media as a role model for the ease and goodness of unwed teen mothers. Her money makes her by far the exception, not the rule, yet little girls will probably not fully get that.

Wait a minute. Britney Spears pays a publicist a LOT of money to make sure her every move is documented by the press and paparazzi. Tabloid photos are made to look like the celebrity was "caught" but that's a set up. Photographers and reporters get tipped to that stuff, they don't just happen to be there and get lucky.
And Britney's children will certainly have problems, whether the press hounds them or not. They are living the lives they live, whether it is documented by the media or not.

I've seen pictures of her walking into whatever store she was going in at the time (please forgive me for using Walmart as an example ), looking at houses and yes, the posed picture of her and her "bastard" child on the cover of some magazine.
I don't think she was celebrated or made to look like a role model but I also don't really follow her life like that. I certainly don't think she should have been "shunned by society"...that's just laughable IMO.
Not condoning unwed teen mothers :blahblah: Yes, having a child when you're a teenager is not ideal. They are still children themselves, yes. Should they marry "for the sake of making sure the child isn't a bastard"? No, not IMO.

The question of "I don't know about Kris's abilities" with the implication of the wrecking ball.
Moral of the story... when your best friend is "drinking her baby good bye" on Patron shots, don't be around anyone other than eachother and certainly not in a bar situation because then you've gotta think quick on your feet and it kills the buzz.

Just how many photographers/reporters do you think there are, that an army of them can sit outside each celebrity's home, outside every restaurant where a celebrity might be eating dinner, outside every hair salon where a celebrity is shaving their head, etc etc?
They get tipped by staff, and many times by the celebrity's publicist. In Britney's case, it's well-known that she calls the paparazzi herself to tell them where she'll be and what she's doing. Madonna does the same thing. Then they sit around #####ing about being "stalked".
They wanted to be famous, now they are. In Madonna's documentary "Truth or Dare" there's a segment where Warren Beatty tells someone else that Madonna doesn't want to live her life unless there are cameras around, which is obviously true or she wouldn't have done the film in the first place. Then she has the nerve to complain about "lack of privacy".

She always flaunts with the cameras, and talks to the papparazi. It's got nothing to do with them; I just love how people like ITS_ME and Kris want to blame the media for HER actions. I bet they both vote Democrat.
Like I said, Hilary Duff's also been in front of the cameras her whole life and all she's ever done is call Waldorf ghetto (which she wouldn't know ghetto if it came out and slapped her in the face twice).

... you're going right way for a smack bottom, young man...
I don't blame the media for her actions... they magnify the problems, I'm sure... I guess not everyone can be as level headed as Hilary Duff :sarcasm:
And of COURSE I vote democratic... well except in this election... because I have a problem voting for someone who's got terriorist connections and I'm not really sure I want to vote Republican

For the "blender" comment...:smack:
Remember, this is my opinion and you have yours. Opinions are like @$$holes, everyone has one, I just think yours stinks :neener:My points wasn't against Walmart in particular, it was to point out that the pictures (most) were posed for. That means sought after, and specifically determined to be worthwhile by the magazine publishing them - not just papparazzi springing shots of her. Her people and magazine publishers/editors took the time to share her story, celebrate it if you will, with the general public.
See, that's the point. So, the "shunned by society" comment is in regards to the question of how to treat an unwed teenage mother. Do we celebrate the fact that she's done this thing, or do we simply tolerate it, or do we actively try and make sure others don't see it as a good thing by treating her actions with the appropriate level of disdain by ensuring she feels an appropriate level of shame for her actions. See, by celebrating her pregnancy, that puts not only a level of tolerance, not only a level of acceptance, but a level of pride in what she's done. We're paying her money and setting her on a pedestal, celebrating her misdeed.
So, should she and he marry for the sake of the child? Well, that wouldn't be my first choice. My first choice would be that she and he weren't so stupid and irresponsible in the first place. Again, she's demonstrated and then been celebrated for bringing a child into this world, and not only (by example) told little girls that this is an action to be proud of, she's then demonstrating to little boys that fathers are not necessary day to day in a child's life, because the father of her child isn't worthy of marriage.
Do I think that one pop tart "actress" can cause all of this herself? Of course not. It's the society that pays for the magazines, doesn't condemn the magazines or the little tart or her sperm donor, and the multitude of times this crap happens and gets defended (didn't Murphy Brown start this whole conversation?)
As for :smack:ing me for talking about the blender, what did I say that was wrong?
You may think my opinion stinks, but that doesn't make me incorrect.

Let's compare Britney's actions to Lindsey Haun (who actually has talent) and some of the other teenaged popstars.
Hilary Duff didn't go trying to kill herself when she and Joel Madden split up.
Speaking of whom, is he still dating Paris (or Nicole, whichever one it was)?
