Who has been here and seen this? I think it's cool and freaky at the same time.

I'd almost be afraid to take a boat in it. It just looks way scary and who knows whats in that water. :faint:

It's amazingly beautiful, but I'm with you, Chasey. I think I'd be a little too scared to dive in it.

The great blue hole and Grover's Reef has been on my wishlist for future scuba diving & kayaking trips.

People dive it every day. Most of them come back.

I have not been to this particular blue hole, but I have been to the one in the Gulf of Aqaba in the Red Sea near Dahab. I am not a diver, I just snorkeled there. The only way to get to it by land is by Bedouin cab drivers, who drive these ancient Pugeots. Here is a link:

Shoudn't be, it's a wall, just go no deeper than 50'. The place I was looking at staying at one time, has shore access diving right by the motel.

That place looks amazing! I would love to check it out and dive there someday. I've only gone diving once, in Jamaica, which hardly makes me the expert diver. :lmao:

That would be a long swim to the blue hole. Its like 90 miles off the coast of Belize.

Belize period is a beautiful place to dive!

Yeah, except I would call for the vote about chumming sharks in before we left the dock. If the majority says chum, I'm saying, "adios chums".:lmao:

I also like the part about "getting mildly narked in the caves at '150. I don't think so Tim.

:lmao:I didn't mean shore access to the hole, just a dive site.

Very interesting! I've always wanted to see that thing...I'm with you though, Chasey...I might dangle my tooties in the water, but I dont' think I would have the nerve to swim it; let alone dive. I've seen "Deep Star Six!" :lmao:

Putting this on the list of places to visit before I croak. Thanks for the info.

I think I want to learn how to dive, it seems like it would be so much fun....

All agree Belize is such a beautiful place.. We went Cave Tubing while we were there. We were only there for about 8 hrs, so I really didn't get to enjoy all of what Belize had to offer. But I would gladly go back...
