Soooo! Who's been to Aruba? What did you hate? What did you love?
What did you do while you where there? Places to avoid?

I'd probably avoid wherever Natalee Holloway was!
Been to a few other places in the Caribbean, never Aruba...check the weather, it's hurricane season...we flew out of Montego Bay as Dolly was just starting to come in...

I went to Aruba 3 years ago. It was very nice. You can drive the whole island in half a day. We stayed at an all inclusive resort. The beach was right outside our door. The staff was wonderful. The people there are very friendly. We went on the beach in the daytime and the casinos at night. We did snorkling and snuba. Don't know if you know what snuba is but its when you have an oxygen tank that floats on the service and you can dive like 20 feet or more. It was really cool. We went on a deep sea fishing trip and that was really fun. It was just 2 people on the boat crew and my husband and I.
I was leaving the same day Natalie arrived. I went to Carlos and Charlies and thought it was really fun. they make stupid hats for you to wear. The food was pretty good.
I don't know if it is true or not but the local people told me that they are further south and the hurricanes never effect them.

Been to Curacao, the "C" of the A B C islands
It's the Dutch west indies, very quaint and European in appearance.
Curacao had one of the best whore houses I've ever been to, it was called "The Compound."
Looked like an old fort had a bar/police station/doctors office in the middle and small cottages around the perimeter.

My then wife was a sun worshiper so lazed on the beach while I experienced my first swimming pool with a bar in it. I had more fun than she did!

Oh yeah, I forgot that happened there. No worries though. Hubby and I are just going to fish, look around and relax...
And hope our fishing charter doesn't turn out to be, or run into pirates. lol
Thanks for the tips ppl!..and we're not going during hurricane season either...we kept that in mind when we picked the date.
thanks for sharing your...um experience, Aps...

We just went in June. It was nice but very windy. Not sure if it was the time of year. Here's a great link to a forum that provides a bunch on info on Aruba:
