im no engineer, but how could putting the intercooler on top of the supercharger be efficient? (since its directly on top of the engine). Woudnt a better location be out by the front fascia?

Neat car!
I have been watching the ZR1 battle with the Nissan GTR and Porsche GT2 for best lap time honors at the Nordschleife for a few months.

I would think so too, but I would guess the vent on the front bumper is functional.

The intake air molecules then get squeezed through the counterrotating rotors that look like gigantic black licorice twists. They then get pushed up through a triangular hole in the top of the supercharger housing between two long, narrow intercoolers. A 90-degree turn either left or right leads our molecular heroes to an intercooler that Meegan claims can lower the air temperature by 140 degrees F. The intercoolers are connected to a heat exchanger in the car's nose and filled with standard-issue antifreeze.

Just like when the Z/06's first came out, everyone including Criswell jacked the price up roughly $10K over MSRP. I know they did because I did a mystery Internet shop of them when I worked at Sheehy. Because Kerbeck sells more Corvettes than anyone on the east coast, they get more allocations from the factory. They were selling the Z/06's at MSRP at that time.
Criswell is a highly regarded dealership, but if I were going to purchase one, I'd go to Kerbeck.

Nope - Kerbeck is top notch. My 2004 came from Kerbeck, sold by Harry Boyer. Worth the trip to Kerbeck in Atlantic City if you're a Corvette enthusiast, even if you aren't buying a new Vette.

AKA: The Stig
I don't get what they are saying either Crash.
At the time of my post the ZR1 was still posted at the top. The top cars seem to be rotating in and out of the top spot.
In my opinion the ZR1, ACR, and a few of the other cars should be posted in the Non-series/road-legal vehicles chart, based on the tires that they all are running.
I am a GTR fan, but think all the vehicles on the list are bad ass. A sub 8 minute lap at the Nurburgring is very impressive. A sub 7:30 lap in a "street legal" car at the Nurburgring is crazy fast.
I drove a couple low 9:xx laps at the ring in a 120hp car. I rode along in a M5 for about a 8:10 lap.

I've read that the ZR1 does not respond well to running in hot temps and even that some less than impressive laps times were "buried" as a result of outside temp issues.
How true is it? Who knows?

A lot of guys would run over you to pay $120,000 for one. As usual, they're marked up way higher than that. They're marked up into Ford GT territory. That choice would surely be an easy one.

I prefer the Porsche or Ferrari too, as they have years of refinement for the track and this shows in sportscar racing series results.
But the ZO6 and ZR1 are not the typical Chevy. They are not manufactured like the rest of the Chevy lineup.
Same goes for the Viper .
The Viper and Vette are awesome American sports cars that do command respect when compared to the world of sports cars.

About 2 years ago I watched a Modena 360 running on a Dyno. At about 8000rpm, that car started to sound exactly like a Formula-1 car.

Good one.
A couple years ago I was at MIR a few feet away from Bunny Burkett's funny car when she was about to do a burnout. Folks began to start covering their ears and I thought..."what a bunch or wussies". Within half a second of her lighting up that car, my entire head was in pain.

That zr1 is a steal for the performance and handling you are getting. First mods would be exhaust, smaller pulley, and tune.
