Saudis back Obama

(excerpt)

"Saudi Arabians, including expatriates, are backing Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama.
According to the Arab News, which describes itself as the Arab world's leading English daily newspaper, the reasons for Saudi support of the rookie senator range from his being black to his middle name being Hussein, which has led many Saudis to believe he is a Muslim."

How many do you suppose could be stuffed into the bomb-bay of a B-2? And could they get frequent flyer miles?

Some of the nuts in this country think the whole world should have a say in who our President is.

I am new to replying to the forums (but I've been reading the for a while) and would like to meet some people who are not racist, prejudgmental or just plain ignorant. I personally challenge anyone who meets this criteria to respond. I hope that I won't have to wait a long time.

Im not ignorant, racist or sexist but get called it by people that have an agenda as soon as I point out their flawed logic or disagree with them.

from Kenya.
The overwhelming "man-on-the-street" attitude was
"Obama will win yes??!"
"He is a Moslem yes???"

One fellow said he is sending $$ from his business to support the native son of Kenya.

Why the heck is he running here? Why not return to "native" Kenya and "Change" that 3rd World country?...He might even visit his round-headed half brother in his hut!

My wife was polite and brushed off the inquiries and smiled pleasantly at the questions.

Hey Barak, Nairobi is on the phone...they have a plane ready to take you there any time you want...

They like him because he's a liberal democrat. They know they'll get away with bloody murder if he gets in office. Not to mention he'll cut our military funding.

Say it ain't so! I mean, really, this can't be good for America, can it????:faint:Veg, ask yourself why he may be liked by people like Putin, by third world countries, etc. If you believe he may be liked because those countries think America needs a leader that will do the right thing, you are naive. If you think it's in their best interest only (ie, third world countries to get our money, leaders like Putin know they can act without consequence from America), you'll be much closer to the likely truth.

Now, ask yourself if someone like Putin would act the same towards Georgia regardless of who occupied the White House. If you think the answer is "yes, he'd act the same either way", there's no point in continuing the discussion. If you realize there would be a difference, ask yourself which is better for the world at large.

We'll give outrageously incomprehensible amounts of money and aid to third world countries from your pocket and mine regardless of who is in the White House (Bush proves that). However, more powerful leaders will adjust their actions based upon what they believe the US will actually do as a result of those actions. Do you want to live in a world where leaders think the US president is a strong leader, or a compromiser?

(and succinctly correct)
Add one more factor.
With our "Change" candidate saying he would like the oil companies to divy up 1000.00 refund to every American...with pledges to raise taxes on corporate America...with promises of blooming more government.

Do you (liberals) have any clue what that will do to my faltering retirement fund -Annuity (that I can't touch until I am 63?)
His election would rob me of at least 5 years of investing as the stock market tanks---looking at that financial bleeding he plans.

Vote Obama? -----Vote Stock market collapse. (idiots):smack:

Go suck on Obama's nuts if you love him that much, that is if he has a set. Maybe that is the change you and him are looking for.
