"CORAL GABLES, Florida (Reuters) - Barack Obama huddled with his economic advisers on Friday and backed government efforts to prop up a teetering financial system, but he said he would wait to release his own detailed plan to stem the turmoil on Wall Street.

The Democratic presidential candidate praised efforts by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke to rescue endangered financial firms and keep credit markets solvent and said "even bolder and more decisive action" was necessary.

But the Illinois senator said he would not unveil his own specific proposals until government officials and Congress had concluded their work on a broad rescue plan that could cost hundreds of billions of dollars.

"You don't do it in a day. We've got to do it in an intelligent, systematic, thoughtful fashion," he told reporters after meeting his advisers outside Miami."

"Obama said McCain's proposal skimped on the details but he was glad to see they agreed that "at some point we are going to need some institutionalized structure to deal with the underlying problems of bad mortgages and the bad assets that some of these markets have."

Obama waited a day or two later to have an opinion, when
the markets were tanking.

after the dust settles, even after GWB did their thing.

Obama finally has something to say, after the fact.
*** THATS NOT LEADERSHIP ***

waiting for the puppet masters to tell him what to say and think.

So he's not going to tell anyone his plan until Congress acts. Isn't he part of Congress? Shouldn't he be one of the ones acting? Shouldn't he voice his ideas as part of that action? Isn't that his job?

Way to go nhboy! I didn't think you'd actually post something negative about Obama.

"Barack Obama huddled with his economic advisers on Friday"? Think his plan might be to put these same guys in charge again or was he just getting their input?

Penny Pritzker, "the Michael Milken of subprime mortgages," is Obama's Finance Chair.

Jim Johnson, disgraced former CEO of Fannie, was Obama's vice presidential search chairman, at least until he resigned under fire due to his role in providing subsidized sweetheart loans to Democratic Senators during his stint at CountryWide.

Franklin Raines, who participated in the accounting scandals to fix Fannie's books and deliver unwarranted bonuses to its top executives, is a top Obama adviser.

Obama hasnt got a clue.

He might Bullchit someone into believeing he has a plan. Remember Kerry had plans he couldnt reveal either. LMAO.

Plan?? His plan is to say he has one as history forms one for him. Sooner or later a person will come along with a plan and Obama wil claim it, as he has claimed the work of others before.
