When Barry's buddies at Fannie and Freddie caused this debacle. Also, the libs forced banks to lend to people who couldn't pay it back so that all could have a home in their name. So called NINJA loans. No Income, No Job, Approved.

This is a Democract caused mess. John McCain tried to stop it years ago, but senators like Obama voted it down. Don't forget the Senator from MBNA who made it easy to default on credit cards, no running for another term as Senator AND vice-President US.

Is this the poll that is weighted 16% in the Democrat's favor?

As much as it pains me I believe you are wrong. The banking industry created the NINJA loans, the financial investment industry notably Freddie and Fannie perpetuated it by buying the bundled sub-prime mortgages from the banks as conforming loans. No one forced the banks to make NINJA loans and no one forced Fannie or Freddie to buy them. They took the risk all on their own and poisoned the entire well.

There ARE however government regulators that require a certain number of loan origins be made to minorities.

As far as Biden making it easy to default on credit cards I think you are mistaken. In 2005 the GOP quickly proposed and passed Bankruptcy Reform bill that made it much harder to file chapter 7 and walk away. Voting on this bill was mostly partisan with the GOP voting FOR it at the urging of business who felt they were getting fleeced by debtors who were abusing the system and most Democrats voting against it as "champions of the people".

The bill passed by virtue of a few Democrat Senators crossing over and voting with the GOP, one of which was Biden most likely because he was influenced by MBNA and Citibank.

So in effect Biden made it harder to default on credit cards.

In an ironic twist the Bankruptcy Abuse Reform act of 2005 has compounded the problem with out current financial mess. Prior to the Reform in 2005 a family who were overburdened with consumer debt could file bankruptcy and reaffirm their house loan and protect it. Now free of all the other debt many could get back on track with their mortgage payments. With the new law that is not possible and the GOP and Biden did it.

I wrote a paper in a law class in 2002 opposing it and I am a republican. Another example of a free thinking conservative Andy Tardquis will not notice.
