Citizens who wish to vote in the upcoming Presidential General Election on November 4, 2008 must meet the October 14, 2008 registration deadline. Hand delivered voter registration applications must be received in the County election office by close of business on October 14. Mailed applications must contain an October 14 postmark from the United States Postal Service to qualify.
Voter registration application forms can be picked up at your local county board of elections office or downloaded from Voter Registration Application Download (http://elections.state.md.us/voter_registration/application.html) .
Citizens can check online to see if they are currently registered by going to Maryland Elections Center - Maryland Voter Information System (http://www.mdelections.org/voter_registration/v2/vote_prod.php). You will have to enter your first and last name, zip code of registered address, and your date of birth.
