Ohio's elections chief says the state's Web site is running on limited capacity after several security breaches.

Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner says in a statement Monday that the site has been partially disabled to protect state records and data. A spokesman says he is unaware of any personal records being accessed, and could not say what was breached or for how long the site would be disabled.

================================

Not a whole lot on this story as it broke just last night. Gonna look around and see if I can find some more sources with additional information.

The state highway patrol is investigating the breaches.

A wealth of election-related information is stored on the Web site. Missing from it Monday night were detailed records of campaign finance information, results from previous elections and a database of Ohio voters.

Officials are also investigating other security threats, including a suspicious package containing an unidentified powder that was mailed to Brunner's office last week.

The statement says the office has also been inundated with death threats in e-mails and telephone calls.

Brunner's office has been embroiled in controversy over Ohio voter registration rules.

On Greta tonight she reported that Florida is having some issues also.......
she had the Attorney General from Florida on........

The issues are about convicted felons voting......they are choosing to let it go since the government of Florida feels that it's better to let them vote then accuse innocent people of being felons and not allowing them to vote.

Greta basically told him he was an ass and had 8 years from the last screw up to fix this.....

The Attorney General said it wasn't in his jurisdiction..............:bigwhoop:

Makes you wonder about the other states and possible issues...............
