Anyone have experience with any programs that record video of computer use and audio? I have a project at work where this could come in handy, and I need some suggestions as to which products I would want to stay away from or take a closer look at.
Thanks!

Are you talking about a program similar to the one shown here?

That was using CamStudio. You have the option of adding a mic input for audio commentary.
And it is a lot better than what that video shows....my bro just asked me how to get picasa working...and after trying to explain to him a billion times, I said screw it and made that.

CamStudio is free, is it not? I believe I used that at one point in the past and liked it but I'm not postive. Seems like the frame rate wasn't great though, but it may have only been a trial version

I got it for free. Not quite sure if it was or not. I only used it for showing some uses of Sony Vegas for a guildmate. I use fraps for game footage.

 I'm in the same boat. I've gotten so many different things over the years that I don't know if it was a free trial or if I just downloaded a full version from somewhere for free :lmao: (when it was supposed to cost money).
Oh well. It worked well enough that I'd recommend it :yay:

I'm looking for something high quality, that captures every pixel and doesn't put a logo in the corner.

:killingme Its always fun when you want to do something and as you start to google it, you think....wait... somewhere in these TBs is a program that can do it.
Next thing you know your reading "Dorm Cookbooks 1998" while playing F-Zero on an emulated SNES.

The logo is youtube...not the program. And if you are saving it locally (i.e. not on a web broadcast) it is very high def.

At work they just purchase Camtasia Studio, have used it a couple of times, seems pretty good.

Oh, ok. I couldn't see the video - I'm at work. I just assumed there would be some sort of advertising for the product since you mentioned it being free, like I've seen from some similar programs like Div-X (I think that's the name). Thanks for the info!

:roflmao:
One of my foundest memories was doing a simultaneous speed run of Super Mario 64 emulated on our xbox's with a buddy of mine. Something about that tickled me :lmao:
