“…following the dramatic victory by the first-ever black president-elect, Hamas stood in line behind Abbas, Iran and other Muslim countries that have expressed joy that the next president has a Muslim background by virtue of being raised by a Muslim father.”

Wow, they are going to feel right at home here in the US now. What city should they blow up first? I suggest Hollyweird. Maybe San Francisco.

Oh yeah, Obama has such an in depth Muslim background. Like calling me Catholic because someone in my family was.

Doesn't make ya a Jew though  But understandable that people say that I guess.

So why haven't we heard any Osama/Obama jokes yet? I'm disappointed :frown: I just can't think of a good one

Obama is still considered Muslim, just as a catholic who converts to catholicism will always be considered a Catholic by the Catholic Church. These are the laws of Islam and whether we see him as such is irrelevant.

As far as Islam is concerned America just elected one of their own as our President and they will reach out to him for acceptance. How Barack deals with the situation will tell us which religion he truly identifies with.

So are we still questioning President-Elect Obama's allegiance?? What more does he have to do for people to believe that he is not a Muslim???? And if he was, so what......... This is America, were we are not suppose to decimate based on race, religion, sex....etc..etc...

He's a towel-headed, "durka durka" speaking suicide bomber working for the Muhammed Jihad.

:roflmao: The answer is simple...the people who wanna be "haters" will always be. If Obama pulls troops from Iraq, he's unpatriotic. If he pulls from Afghanistan, unpatriotic. If he doesn't attack Iran, unpatriotic. If he speaks with Hamas (u know, the party in control of Palestine and trying to get a Palestinian state), unpatriotic AND anti-Israel. If he destroys terrorists worldwide, kills Bin Laden, brings peace to the middle east...but becomes friendly with France (or just respects the French flag while on a diplomatic trip to France), still unpatriotic.

Point is, some people might question...some will eventually come around, some never will. No point to argue with people who are set in their ways.

You completely missed the point I was making. Use your brain and think. No where in my comment did I questions BO's religous affiliation or his beliefs. I simply stated a fact concerning the nation of Islam and their beliefs as they pertain to one of their own. Like it or not they see BO as one of their own. Doesn't matter how see him in the eyes of Islam.

If Obama says he's Christian then so be it. Who are we to question what's in his heart unless he proves other wise. That's where the latter part of my comment comes into play.... If or when Obama does something clearly showing that he favors Islam and the teachings of Islam then His actions will define the true Obama.

Personally, I see Obama as more of an extremist Christian than anything else. How I anyone could sit through a service listening to the rhetoric of Reverend White without buying into his ant-American message is beyond me. Obama can denounce his cooments all he wants but he still sat there for 20 years!

I'm not a "hater" at all. I didn't vote for the man beciase he stands on the opposite side of the issues than I do. I hope he turns out to be the best President we've ever had because that's exactly what we need right now. If he does a good job then he will get due credit from me.
