Does anyone know the date for the Presidential Inauguration in 2013? I'm guessing it will be January 21st, 2013. I want to get some bumper stickers made up. They'll be just like the ones we've seen of Bush for the past few years (see attachment) except they will be displaying a countdown until the last day of Osama's Presidency.

The Monday will also be Martin Luther King day.

Barney Frank and friends put the country in a depression and its Bush's fault?Yea, right. They did that in 21 months. Nice try.

The Dems are not blameless here but Bush has been in the White House for the las 7 years and 10 months. The GOP controlled both houses of Congress for 6 of those years. The numbers don't support what you're suggesting.

Just for fun January 20, 2013 is on a Sunday.

Just for fun January 20, 2013 is on a Sunday.Actually, if it falls on Sunday, the main ceremony is moved to Monday; however, a private swearing in still takes place on Sunday because the new President still has to take over at noon on the 20th.

However, there is no rule, that it just a tradition and it is the president-elect's choice. That's true but you stated that, "Inauguration is always held on the 20th regardless of if it's on a weekend or not" which is not true. In practice, it has been moved to Monday when the 20th falls on Sunday.

That's your opinion. Not really. It's not an opinion.

Listen to the reasons behind it all, and then look at the initiation of those policies. They didn't start with Bush. Bush didn't de-regulate the industry (as has been widely rumored).

Bush didn't have the leadership ability nor foresight to properly deal with the situation, even though it was brought to his attention and he took weak action to correct. For that, and the years of Republican leadership in the House and Senate, Republicans are very much to blame, as I said.

They didn't cause the problem, they just didn't fix the problem even when they knew about it.

It's not that anyone wishes his failure. We expect and dread it. We expect it because we see him as a totally inexperienced piece of fluff with absolutely no ability to do the job. We expect it because of what his campaign rhetoric was, and what his meager record shows.

We dread it because we will all surely pay a dear price.

But, in no way do we hope for it. We just realistic.

I can respect and understand your apprehension, but I find it hard to judge his actions as president - when he hasn't even been sworn in yet.

I'm taking a wait and see approach, now that the election is over. If he performs poorly, I'll be the first to vote him out in 2012.

In the meantime, paranoia isn't going to accomplish anything but turn more of my hair grey.

I can respect and understand your apprehension, but I find it hard to judge his actions as president - when he hasn't even been sworn in yet. I tried to judge what I expected to happen prior to voting. It made making a choice of for whom to vote much easier. So, I was prepared before voting to be apprehensive of an Obama presidency based upon what his claims were he would try and do, what his record - meager as it was - has been in the past for actual action on issues, and what I perceive of his character. I have not yet judged any actions, for he's taken none (as you say, he's not president yet). Again, however, I'm a realist, and am prepared for what I believe will happen.I'm taking a wait and see approach, now that the election is over. If he performs poorly, I'll be the first to vote him out in 2012.

In the meantime, paranoia isn't going to accomplish anything but turn more of my hair grey.Is it paranoia if they're really out to get you?

What little hair I have left can stand going gray. Again, not paranoia - reality.

I fully believe that black, white, yellow, brown, and red (did I miss any?) people all have the same opportunity, all have the same potential, all have the same group of strengths and weaknesses from which to pull - and therefore no one should be placed above another based upon their skin pigment nor country of origin. I think we should all have to follow the same rules and be subject to the same rights and responsibilities.

Actually I'm going to have to back sunmoon up on this one... Regardless of whether or not you agree with Obama's political ideologies you are stuck with him at the helm of your country for four years. To wish ill will upon him and devalue his leadership will result in negative consequences for us all and is downright foolish, your contrived witticism aside.

**EDIT: As to your sentiment regarding your speculation of failure as prophecy, I had no idea that you were vested with such clairvoyance. Perhaps you might tell me some Powerball numbers so I can make myself some money... In a less sarcastic manner, only time will tell whether Obama succeeds in his job as President.

NO that statement actually made you smart.
I knew you had it in you.
However don't be mad at the people that get chosen for the job because of the laws that are in place. They apply and then seem to get it because of this stat, that law or whatever.
It's a catch 22.
However, If all blacks are on welfare and section 8, who's taking the jobs???
I thought 'they' don't work??? and aren't smart.
If you are as intelligent as you state that you are, that would me that there is a minority that is as smart as you, or more that took your job.

Perhaps you might tell me some Powerball numbers so I can make myself some money... In a less sarcastic manner, only time will tell whether Obama succeeds in his job as President.I am not devaluing his leadership nor would I wish ill upon him nor our country while it's in his (or anyone else's) hands.

However, I judged what he said he would do against what I believe that would cause and what history has shown us it would cause.

Or, are you suggesting that I not judge a candidate based upon my beliefs of their positions? What did you base your decision for a vote on if not that? Do you suggest that if McCain had won, there would be no ballyhooing about what other people believe would have been the result of his campaign rhetoric?

Time will tell. I have made my guess as to where I THINK things will go, and I hope I'm wrong - meaning I hope Obama is as much a liar as he has seemed to be in so many other ways and actually governs from the center, not the far left where his record and promises have said he would govern from.

It's a catch 22.It wouldn't be if there were no discriminatory laws in place. If each person were able to be judged on their merit, not their skin color, gender, or ancesteral country of origin, then we could all breathe a sigh of relief that things were fair. However, If all blacks are on welfare and section 8, who's taking the jobs???

Point #1...
Use and cite the Constitution. If that constitutional oath ("preserve, protect and defend") is the central duty of your job description, then I assume we will be hearing often from you about exactly how you are doing just that. There is no replacement for strict adherence, application and defense of the Constitution. And it's high time that presidents quit reciting the presidential oath tritely and then abandoning its tenets when they enter the Oval Office. You should be quoting from the Constitution publicly as often as a preacher quotes the Bible to his congregation -- at least weekly.Anyone foresee Obama doing this?
