Your version is a little misleading.

The associations you mention are relations with our country not a specific leader.

Of course if you throw the last 3 out (not sure what president elect or president for that matter was known to associate with them) all the other relations were at some point good for America... It's sad how short most American's memories are. They seem to forget that it was the Republican party that was the bearers of the Civil Rights Movement. And in fact, it was the southern Democrats who for years adamantly slowed progress in women's rights and civil rights.

The day the Republicans rebrand themselves no longer the party of the Bible thumpers will be the day I come back home to them. I am not religious, and you don't have to be religious to be moral.
