My name is D.J. and I am a handsome 10 month old Mastiff/Mix. I was probably turned in to the pound because I was getting too big and lacked some basic manners not to mention exercise! I learned to respond well to a calm voice and will stop what I am doing if you snap your fingers. I am rapidly learning how to be respectful of human adults, children, the family cat and do well with other dogs large and small. I am doing great with house training and sleep crated overnight. As long as I have a nice fenced yard and someone to take me for LONG walks or even better a nice fast RUN I am great on a leash and getting better in the house too! I am teething still but as long as I have a rawhide bone, I am learning that I am not supposed to chew anything else so that is really not a problem with proper exercise, diet, and supervision. I am not especially a water dog but will tolerate occasional bathing. I am also Halti-headcollar trained for ease of walking and will carry a doggie backpack with you or your kids stuff. I would LOVE to be in a family with at least one high energy person who would enjoy a very consistent workout buddy and the outdoors. I am VERY physically fit. I can also use a treadmill on those rainy days if no one feels like walking me that day! Check me out on the treadmill with my little buddy...I am one happy dog. Once you earn my respect as my pack leader, I will absolutely worship you and follow you everywhere happily licking your hands! I will be UTD on shots, on H/W preventative, micro-chipped, and neutered prior to adoption. If you think I am THE ONE for your family, please fill out an application today! Thanks!
