OK, here's the deal. I get on myspace all the time and never have any problems. However, there is one person in particular that when I go to their site, it's all retarded. The blocks underneath their pic (i.e. the "add", "IM", "rate", etc) are there but not visible. So, I clicked on them blindly until I found the right one... "add". So then, they have it to where you have to type in one of those "captcha" thingys only I can't see the numbers/letters they want me to type. And then, after visitng their site, when I go back out to mine, none of my pics, etc are visible either. Now, any other time, if I need to type in a "captcha" thing, like when I update my profile, it works fine and also if I go to anybody elses site, no problems... only when I go to this one persons in particular. WTF!!
TIA :buddies:

There are a lot of profiles on myspace that contain viruses. Now you can highlight the page to see the links if they do not show up, like when someone on here types in white, you have to highlight it to see it.

I tried "highlighting" to try to get those things to show up... (the boxes below pic and also the captcha thing).... but it didn't work.
So you think it means the persons website has a virus? It's a famous person, if that helps

It could, or depends on how their layout is, just because it's a "famous" person, doesn't mean that the site wasn't made by some "blow joe". I usually stay away from profiles of people I do not know as I have killed 3 computers because I went to someone's site and they gave me a virus.
No, the URL to their image source is wrong. Nothing wrong with your computer. However, if your using IE, try something different.

Try Firefox, Chrome, and IE (screw Safari). They all have different results. Chances are your friend either uses a different one and it works, or they're an ####### like me and trying to screw up your computer. Hmm you aren't myspace stalking me are you?

Hmmm, ok. I guess I'll just chalk it up as a loss. Seems strange though that they have thousands of other peeps that were able to be added just fine. Glad there's nothing wrong with my computer (which is AMAZING considering all the seedy sites I visit) :jet:

Why do you want a retarded friend?

That brings me to another question.
If you get one of those random ass "add" things from someone you don't know, is ok to at least look at their profile to see WTF it is but NOT add them, or is even opening it up bad? Because when I first got on there, my dumbass added some phantom hot chick and everything screwed up. I was thinking with penis . But now I just look at profile to get an idea whether it's a real person or not first and I don't add them if it seems too good to be true :killingme

If you add anyone you don't know, especially if they don't send you a private message, then you're just retarded. Now I can understand more. It's just you.

If their site has a virus you will get it by just going to the site, weather you add them or not. If I receive a private message from anyone I do not know, I will not open, it's basically the same as e-mail. You don't open anything from someone you do not know.

So how is it you're only supposed to add peeps you already know? Defeats the whole purpose doesn't it? What if I unwittingly delete the woman of my dreams? :cds:

Use Linux, makes getting a virus much more difficult.

Dude I'm sure you are not going to meet the woman of your dreams on myspace, unless you're just trying to jack it to a pic and "dream" about her.
