Which one's the easiest to operate? Best priced one?

most of them are plug and play....you put your memory card in and it does a slideshow. It's more about how they look. I would say goto the store (best buy, target, etc.) and look at them. Play with them too.

I picked up a 10 inch Insignia from Best Buy last week for $99. Its a gift for mom, but I opened it up to check it out, and it looks nice.

Does that one have resident memory so i can use a jump drive to load pix? it's a gift for FIL, who's never laid hands on a computer or digital camera, and never will. i'd like to take my jump drive over periodically to swap out pix.

I have one and I never use it. It is too freakin aggrevating to operate! :ohwell:

Shouldn't be a problem. Most use a SD card and they're getting cheaper and cheaper. I think you can buy a 2Gig card for about $10. Just buy 2 and swap them out.

Be sure to check the image resolution on them, so that the photos dont look like crap when they are displayed.

Radio Shack had 7" frames for $49.99 last week, so they are cheaper than they have been in the past. This one used 4 different types of cards, but had no USB port for using a thumb drive though. I'd look for one that accepted thumb drives also.
