Where can you go to buy 'em?

I've been to a bunch of stores, but apparently I'm looking in the wrong places, because although I can find tons of normal everyday under-gear, I can't seem to find anything for ... special moments.

I would rather avoid driving to waldorf or somewhere too far away. I want to stick to the range between prince frederick and hollywood/lex park areas. And I would prefer to get it from somewhere marginally classier than the bookstore on Shangri-La.

Also, I would rather not buy used.

Edit: Looking for women's items. Not banana-hammocks.

No contest -- go to Victoria's Secret. There's one in St. Charles Town in Waldorf. You can look for others at this web site: Victoria's Secret - Store Locator (http://www2.victoriassecret.com/html/custsrvc/storeloc/index.cfm)

Go to Frederick's of Hollywood - Home (http://www.fredericks.com/) and order. Then you don't have to drive anywhere, save the gas money and spend it on buying more. But if you must they have a store somewhere in the DC metro just not sure where.

Not sure where you're at -- there's one in Annapolis Mall & one somewhere in Bowie if those are closer for you. Depending on who you're buying for and how badly you want to impress, the drive might be worth it. Speaking personally, I've always been impressed with gifts from Victoria's Secret. I think part of it is the fact that I get a mental image of hubby actually going into the store -- that makes me appreciate it even more! I think it takes a real secure guy to shop in that store!

If you don't want to travel, you can order from the Victoria's Secret website if you want to spend a little bit more for shipping for shipping to get it here in time. Here's the link & they're having a sale.

(and really, I don't have stock with them or get a commission or anything like that for referrals -- I just think it's cool that you're looking for something like this -- kudos to you!:howdy:)

That is such :bs: I have lingerie that I've bought from VS and Walmart that have lasted just as long. You don't wear it enough to wear it out.

If you're talking about under garments you'll wear every day, that's one thing, but that's not what we're talking about here....and I've bought some really cute "play" things at Walmart. Spend the money on an expensive bottle of champagne to drink while she's wearing the cheap dainties.

Well, to each their own opinion. I don't care if I got fuzzy slippers or a sexy little nothing, I'm estatic over the thought. I'm extremely appreciative. Well let's see, yes it does. Did I get grease pans from Auto Zone or did he go to the trouble of going to a girlie store to get me something frou frou?

Besides, every once and a while, it's nice to receive a quality treat. Doesn't matter what that quality item is, maybe a cashmere sweater, maybe Godiva chocolates, maybe VS lingerie, whatever. If it's something you don't receive everyday, and a little out of your normal budget, then it's even more of a special item. That's the point. I can go pick up WalMart panties any day of the week if I wanted and a gift of WalMart panties are something I'd say thank you for and put away.

Honestly, expensiveness has little to do with any selections I make. If it costs 3 bucks but looks smokin' hot, that's what I get. If it costs $250 for something that's sexy then that's what I'll get.

What I actually did get fell somewhere between those two extremes. But looks :hot:

Depends on what it is and when you're wearing it. The bulk of stuff? Yep, about 30 seconds. Something with an open bottom that accentuates the rest off you? Possibly a day, maybe longer, depending on whether or not you take a break to shower.

Imagination? I want to know what some of you people are on.

1. Odds are, if she's wearing something like that, he's already seen her naked at least a few times. Unless he's psychotic or has severe memory issues, he already knows what she looks like.

2. The chick will be naked in a few minutes, imagination as to what she looks like is pointless. For the sake of argument, I'll throw point 1 out the window... Imagination is bad. I can't picture a bigger let down than wanting to tell the girl to put the clothes back on.

Thank goodness not everybody thinks like you. Oh, I know some people do, but not everyone.

There are those of us ladies, who like to wear something a little sexy under our everyday clothes and we like to let you know we are wearing it, and have you look forward to seeing it when we get home. That's called "anticipation" and may not work for you, but works for some of us.

Well actually - imagination and anticipation go hand in hand. Sometimes a little thrill is all that's needed. So what if it winds up on the floor? If it helps get the woman in the mood by allowing her to feel sexy, and if it gets her partner in the mood by thinking of her and seeing her wearing it, then where's the harm? You and a couple others are picking key words and going off on them. I understand for some people, lingerie isn't necessary, needed, wanted, and / or if so, something cheap is fine. But for others, something special is indeed considered worthwhile. Different strokes for different folks is all.

It's two entirely different situations; no matter how much they have in common.
