It's ok, they took it out of the schools budget, so it's all good.
$11 Million in change we can believe in.

its crazy-insane the amount of people they are expecting - news said "only 5 thousand tour buses registered". They are expecting 10 thousand. Where the hell do you park that many tour buses?

Those people are inviting chaos in their lives, so they get whatever comes to them. Who I really feel sorry for, are the workers that have jobs in the city and the officers, fire fighters, rescue, blah blah blah that have to be there working 12-16 hour shifts and prepared to stay Sunday until ???. The officers are having cots brought in and the base has opened up some areas for them to sleep, shower, shave, shiat, whatever but even with all that, they are not going to have 'enough' room for all. The mess in the city has been going on for weeks. It is my understanding that for security reasons, there will only be 3-ways into the city!
I am sure Maryland has officers working as well - at the metro stations - to deal with the heavy traffic, accidents, etc. etc. Betcha, Virginia is raking up a big bill too!
They will get the feds to reimburse them and just add it to the already insane debt this country is already in. :jameo:

Why? It's in DC....
Think again. Whistle stop tour (train) from Cecil Co to DC---follow the Amtrak line. Every road, bridge, intersection, train depot will be covered in law enforcement, National Guard, etc. Speech in Baltimore with 500,000+ people in attendance. More security, EMS, etc.
1 official inauguration ball in PG Co, many unofficial events/balls. Security and EMS at everyone one.
Over 500 MD law enforcement officers assigns to DC on the 20th. Over 250 MD ambulances in DC. and on and on and on. Every form of public safety personnel (including state and local) will be working 60+ hours over a 4 day period.
Traffic problems, backups, accidents, response for days.
Wake up folks; this isn't your great-great-grandfather's simple inauguration any more.

Yep, I heard that. Hope they can find a place to rest. I truly feel sorry for them, like already mentioned, about 60 plus hours of working, several on their feet, for 4 straight days!

EXACTLY - but it is more than that - where would they fly you? D.C.? Baltimore? Those hospitals could get booked fast with all the people expected. And say for instance, you were in a position to need to be flown out? So people stay safe!

For the same reason other people's tax money was offered to pay for past inaugurations of presidents they didn't vote for.
