View Full Version : Missing collie -Hollywood
Please help us find Shelby! He is typical Lassie look alike collie who was last seen in the Clarkes Landing area of Hollywood yesterday (Sat Jan 24). He is not from this area so he is likely lost. Shelby is a sweet older dog.
Call Troy 240-876-6663
Sorry to hear your dog is missing, best of luck...I hope he returns home safely.
Thanks so much! Not my dog-my cousins, but I will pass along the well wishes! He is scouring the area as we speak!

Is this the same "Shelby" that made headline news on the BayNet awhile back?

still no luck. through asking many people in the neighborhood, we found out he made it as far out as Clarks Landing and Blackistone. please respond with a location and time, even if you only saw him, so we can track his direction and expand our search if necessary.
thanks so much for everyones concern and support.

Oh Anne! As I suspected I lost sleep over Shelby last night. I was so hoping you would call this morning with good news! Please let me know if you need more help today. I wish Captain had been able to track him longer!
Not much consolation to you-but people really are looking out for him. I had TWO moms at the kids preschool ask me about him today!

I went down clarkeslanding and joy chapel this morning looking. I have ridden horses through the woods from clarkslanding to joy chapel thought maybe shelby had made it over that way so I drove half way down joy chapel. I moved last year from the beginning of clarkslanding to the very end of it, and our cat tends to go back to the old house sometimes.. Its amazing how animals can find there way back home. I would think that by now shelby has gotten away from the blackistone area where I saw him saturday morning before he was put out as missing. Hopefully someone has found him and will call.

Wow-thanks so much "giddy up"!! Talk about extra effort! That was really sweet of you!!!! As we went door to door yesterday I was touched by almost every single persons response. Everyone was so kind and wished us well on the search. Most asked for the flyer just in case. It was heartwarming even though the reason was not so great. No news yet. :(

Your welcome..I wish I had of picked him up saturday morning when I saw him. He was in a nieghbors yard a few houses down. There are so many dogs running loose in this nieghborhood that it just seems the norm. He just stood out since he didnt look familiar. I am a stay at home mom and I dog sit on the side. I felt horrible when you guys came to the door with the flyer. Our cat went missing for 4 days last week and we were out doing the same thing you all were. He sometimes makes his way back to my old house at the other end of clarkslanding! I have ridden horses thru this area and I know if Shelby were to go into the woods a lil further up clarkslanding that its only a short trip over to joy chapel road. I would put up some flyers over that way if you havent already. I drove down there yesterday morning looking. I guess it was Troy that was at the corner of blackistone yesterday morning looking that I stopped and spoke to. I took my truck and looked around the edge on the corner of blackistone and clarkslanding. Have you called animal control? they may of picked him up...

Any new info?

There is no new information. Our family is all through the area and are still looking for him (since we can't be there to do it). He was likely picked up since he is the sweetest dog you would ever know, and we can't find even one person that saw him after 12:00 Saturday. Now, we just have to depend on "word of mouth" to get our contact information to the right person. Because we can't be there, I have to depend on our family and friends to put up flyers and spred the word. You can not even imagine how hard it was to leave SMC without him.
Thanks again for everyones help and concern.
Anne
So sorry to hear he hasnt been found yet, i hope he is at least somewhere warm and safe. :huggy:

MEMORIES
"Not the least hard thing to bear when
they go from us, these quiet friends,
is that they carry away with them so
many years of our lives. Yet, if they
find warmth therein, who would
begrudge them those years that they
have so guarded?
And whatever they take,
be sure they have deserved."

Thanks everyone for your kind words-and for reading this post after so many weeks. I will make sure my cousin and his family see your nice thoughts.
