43 minutes into the movie is what it says on pause here...
"What's wrong with this?"
"No, you can not wear that, you have to wear a suit!"
"You mean, I have to change?"
"Yeah!"
"I was gonna ride my bike."
This is where it completely bugged me. When he did Fight Club, he was still young enough to pull off a character this young. He seems to be playing the part of a 20 year old, and despite his ability to do so, he does not pass for 20 or even 20 something.
I'm gonna go ahead and hit play, but discuss. Seriously, how old is Brad Pitt these days? Not young enough for this IMO.

Brad Pitt is my age and it's probably time for him to leave the stoner kid thing behind him.

COMPLETELY agree. Only a few years ago Fight Club was doable I think because of the stess induced on him by the lifestyle (so he was able to pull off such a young age), but not in a movie where he's playing a 20-something gym trainer.
So anyway, 54 minute pause:
I'm crying laughing. But in the past 11 minutes he hasn't been on screen, so I can't say it's him. George Clooney and Frances McDermott (Sp?) are cracking me up. I'm really enjoying it even though the part Pitt is playing was miscast. I think I'll go ahead and buy it, and I'm not even done.

My impression was that he was playing a complete doofus in his late 30s/early 40s. I absolutely loved that movie; his character had me cracking up.

Haha... alright, that makes sense. There ARE a lot of older gym trainer doofus types out there. Thanks for making the movie a little more enjoyable for me. Vrai, you seen it yet?

Exactly. I think if he were in another profession, it might not be believable. But I can almost see some of the people at my gym acting that way.

Now that I've seen that perspective I like it a lot better. I was a little disappointed with the ending. Still worth buying on DVD though. Can't wait til I can show all my friends and talk to them about it.
WORTH IT.

I watched the movie this past weekend. I loved it, it made me laugh. Brad plays weirdos very well.

Brad is 44 I think. Angelina's rancid squeeze box is sucking the life from him. My favorite role of his was 12 Monkeys, then Fight Club, then Snatch. If you like the Cohen brothers I recommend Miller's Crossing, great movie of theirs that does not get enough love.

I think you are missing the point of his character.. I don't believe his character is 20.. he's middle aged.. The guy that did nothing with his life, but he's happy and think he's actually accomplished something, in his head he's the GENIUS in the gym.. he's THAT guy.
This is secret sh!t.. SigInt Sh!t.. this is the Sh!t.. F@CK!!
Classic lines..
It really got me when George kisses him.. Like.. WTH just happened??

And him "dancing" on the tread mill.. .funny sh!t..
different roles for everyone in that movie, which I thought made it even better..
"We've got her, she's in detention" "What are we going to do with her??"
And it's ALL about and over cosmetic surgery..

That reminds me of the time I I went with my sis to the opening night of the movie "SERENITY" After the movie we were walking out and she was babbling a mile a minute. Then just as we turned the corner back into the lobby she stomped and cried out, "I CAN'T BELIEVE THEY KILLED WASH!" Then she looked up and spotted the group of 7 waiting to head into the theatre... each dressed up as a different character... looking at her as if she had just stabbed their puppy... she was mortified realizing she had just ruined the ending for them.
