...is there a strong republic where the people are strong and the government is minimal? Where people are free and not sheep who do what the Leftist media tells them to do?
I want to move there. Right now, before King Barack decides that his subjects are no longer allowed to leave the country.

According to our constitution and the founding fathers it's the US.
I think I am moving to the Azoures. Does anybody speak Portugese? I need language lessons.

buy an Island on the coast of maine 20 years ago: been kicking myself ever since: 25,000 for 6 acres of my own little kingdom.
The entire world is grown under the loss of freedom and oppressive taxes & regimes & debt.
Gotta spend some time looking over stuff from the Heritage foundation: the principles ARE STILL THERE!...the sheeople are just too shallow to understand them.

According to our constitution
Our...what? What is this "constitution" of which you speak?

It's called 'Texas'.
There's some other ones I know of, not all of which are republics and tend to be colder and hill-ier than Texas. Arizona is warm.
Do NOT go to New Mexico. They got Montgomery County disease, but bad.

I don't really know. It was a wild rumor I heard about. Once upon a time it was in my history book in school. But from my recent tutoring experiences, I discovered it's no longer important enough to get more than a paragraph in school textbooks.

Yea, that's the one. The one that's been taken a beating over the last few years.

I am in the habit of blaming the Dems for that, but you will not be seeing me stand up for the Republicans any time soon. Obama sucks, Bush sucked. The only reason Obama sucks more than Bush is because he has the Leftist Congress to back up anything he wants to inflict on us.

I'd rather move to Crete. That way, I can be a Cretin.

Afghanistan and Somalia both meet your criteria: minimal government (if any), absolutely no leftist media, and the people are all strong supporters of the 2nd Amendment. Enjoy your new home... and don't forget to write us!

Huh. I never thought of them as strong republics, you know, the first requirement she listed.

Gee, you want everything... Well, that's gonna be tough one.
OK, I just finished scanning a globe for ideas, and it appears there's currently no such place that satisfies Vrai's particular group of requirements. About the closest thing I can offer is ancient Greece, which by all accounts was a pretty groovy place (unless you were a slave).
Athens: love it or leave it, baby!

If you scanned the globe then, certainly, you would have seen post 5.

And certainly you're aware that Texas is one of the United States, and therefore subject to any federal laws The Messiah and his Apostles deem worthy of imposing on us?

You do know what R. Lee Ermey says about Texas, don't you?

And, certainly, you are aware that Texas is a Republic, which is what you asked for, a Republic that has done far better in fending off becoming a blue state than many others.
