Subject in the water. Calvert County.

I know it was warm out today, but that water is freezing. Sure hope they get to him quick.

The person calling can see him, says he's struggling to stay up. No life vest, sounds like rescue is near though.

:( That is terrible. My nephew wanted to take his boat out today. Their was alot of ice in the creek and he wasn't allowed to go.

That's what they just said, there's about an inch of ice on the creek and they aren't sure if they can get to him. If I heard correctly, the guy in the canoe broke the ice to go after a deer? I'm pretty sure that's what I heard.

What a lucky guy. He could have been dead quick in that icy water.

when people do stupid crap, do you think the realize the danger that they are putting rescue persons in?

but do you ever wonder why you never hear something like, so and so was rescued from "fill in an idiot adventure of your choice", so and so works as a resuce worker.....

I think the reason is that people prone to doing rescue type of work think of others first, and people that end up floating in ice due to stupidity think of themselves first. I bet the guy has no clue that the rescue workers were in as much danger, or even more than he was.

I agree with you 100%. I'm sure the rescue people weren't pleased to have to go out on that ice, but they do what they do and don't complain about it, well maybe to each other. :lmao:
