I've had random issues with IE. With 7 it would just say there was a problem and needed to close. I since downgraded to 6 then upgraded to 8. Now my issue is when I google something it doesn't show results 1-10. Also, when I click on some things with links on pages, it doesn't initiate the link. For example, I can't search the forums by clicking on 'search' on this sight (not the top search but on the Forum bar).

Thanks for any insight...

I knew that would be the response. I just hate learning a new browser. But I may need to.

IE is so integrated into windows that when it screws up, most of the time it's not worth the effort to try and repair it. You can either use another browser, or save your data and wipe/reload the PC from scratch.

Uninstall IE8, reboot then run Windows Update... it should patch 7 and all should be fine.

I run IE7 here at work with zero issues... not sure of why the rest of the world has problems/issues with 7.

Uninstall any toolbars you have.

Dude, there is no learning the browser, its esentially the same thing. Except you just hit ctrl->t for a new tab :D

Just as a tidbit- I have NEVER had the stupid "debug" issue with firefox, but always did/do with IE
