LaMont's is usally only open on Sundays...has had some trouble ...but for the amount of cars you see going in there you really don"t hear a whole lot about it.Seems to really get busy in summer.:buddies:

Lamont's was profiled positively, in a lengthy article in the Maryland Independent newspaper, February 4, 2009. Click here, to read it: Presidential spin doctor (http://www.somdnews.com/stories/02042009/indycov162300_32207.shtml)

Take a ride by Mattawomen Restaurant, Ford,s Wonder Bar and the Mason springs area at 6:pm Sunday evening. If you think you fit in there you should fit in at Lamont's, occasionally it gets ruff and shots are fired but not to often.
Southern Maryland (Calvert, Charles, St. Mary's Counties) Police, Fire, EMS Radio Scanners (Including PAXRVR NAS Aircraft Freqs) (http://somd.com/scanner/)

But, the attached news article below, says the Temptations and Percy Sledge played in Lamont's Motown Room, and that busloads of visitors from other states come there. Makes it sound like a respectable, older crowd.

I'm sure it is a nice crowd for the most part. It is the "bad" ones that make the paper all the time. I guess any time you have people coming from all over, locals, and especially all the peeps from DC, there could be a few problems. JMO
