Installing a program on my laptop.

Windows XP.

Its a program to help me with my :drummer:ing.

Put CD in CD player.

Autoruns.

Click Install.

Comes up with a ERROR Drive E:

:confused: I dont have a drive E:?

C: drive. Main drive

D: drive. CD player

yeah its like it wants to install the program into a E: drive not read it from the E: drive. its odd.

Guess Ill just have to move my drums to KVJ's place and use her comp. :dance:

You should be able to install wherever you want to. Doesn't it give you an option to select the installation folder?





PS What program is there to help you play drums? I may be interested in such software.

I'm not sure how it works, but here's one that a coworker plays with. :shrug: I think it has a drums feature in it.

Sounds like the program is defaulting to an E:\ drive as a recognizable drive, because on most (XP) computers D:\ is a restore drive. Go to the D:\ directory and check any config or system files and see if E:\ is anywhere. If so, change it to D:\. If not, it's probably hardcoded and your SOL.
