Anyone here have the right tools and the know-how? I have an IDE/USB adapter board that has 2 cold solder joints and I need them retacked. They're too fine for even the small iron I have.

Nebermind.... RadioShack had a battery iron with a real small tip. Worked just fine. Got my 500GB drive back on line!

That's great.

Is this where the thread begins the inevitable drift off onto completely unrelated topics? Because I heard :gossip: said :gossip: about you know who.

I have a soldering iron and lead......used for stained glass. I don't know if it's something you can use or not, but you are welcome to borrow it if it is. I'm clueless.
