They all need to get a pick slips and boated right out the door. We don't need another 99.5. What were they thinking?

I had to listen to 98.3 on the way into work at 5am this morning, as my Serius satellite feed couldn't acquire a signal. Anything is better than the new 97.7 format!
It is a shame, I really liked the rocket.

I dusted off the cd collection due to my lack of adapter for the Ipod in my Burb. Does anyone have an honest clue about the actual cost of starting and operating a radio station? I was contemplating that yesterday when I was listening to 102.9 as it is either that or 98.3 or 97.7 that I can pick up in my garage.

It would be cheaper just to buy the ipod adapter

I agree. But from the business sense in a market area such as So MD, I am amazed and appalled by the fact that we either listen to crap from Somar Communications! We have DC101, or 98Rock if you can get either of these. I actually liked the local spin on things as the local papers are not worth buying as you can read the issues online. According to the FCC website Somar Comm paid $1225 in what I am assuming license fees. I am still digging around to see how much else is needed to start a radio station.

A long time ago they did this, Im sitting on my school bus one morning and I hear the radio say, "ALL COUNTRY, ALL THE TIME". Im like what happened? They were rock and roll till that day.

93.5 comes in good on some days...its a Delaware rock station...you just have to hit it right....the weather can be the difference of it coming in or not but when it comes in they play pretty good music

You can't get 94.7? They at least play classic rock (including 80's hair bands since I heard Def Leopard yesterday).

It was the only rock station in SM.

I've since switched to country station out of delmarva.

Someone finally asked the question that has been buggin me now for months...they actually would play music in the morning! Now don't get me wrong, I love elliot but.....way too much talk for me that early, lol

I do wonder why they changed it, they played some great music! I do agree with one reply-poster, we don't need another 99.5 and they are dead on. Makes me wonder if there is a petition that the locals can do to change it??

Has anyone tried that new southern maryland radio they have online?

Jessie

97.7 was erased from my dial... same with 106.7. This county’s radio station
selection blows, I have been forced to burn cd's again lol. Maybe I will get
an aftermarket radio for my mp3 player. Screw you 97.7

105.9 has recently switched to classic rock. It's not too bad. Commercial free until Labor day I think.
