Had my scanner on in the car and thought I heard them say there was a bad accident at Dares Beach and 4. 2 priority 2, 1 priority 1 and 1 priority 4. I didn't see a thread, so I'm really hoping I heard this wrong. Scanner kept breaking up.

I was listening also this morning and actually heard the 911 call. Something was going on with the scanner and for some reason, the 911 call was broadcast. The lady who called was hysterical and all I could make out what she was saying was a motorcyle and it was extremely serious. I am looking for info as well as the scanner started breaking up after that. Hope everyone is o.k.

I am so glad you posted that and I wasn't hearing things. I heard the 911 call and the woman was saying the car hit the motorcycle and the car flipped over. The mic was open for about 3 minutes, then it went to regular broadcast and that's when I heard them say something about extrication and the priority of all the patients. Thought it may have been a drill or something.

I actually brought my scanner into the office with me, but didn't hear anything else about it, think either it's poor reception in this building or my batteries are dying.

what time was this at? i went through there at about 8:20am and didn't see an accident anywhere:shrug:

Close to 7:30 when I heard it.

Signs were up saying it was a drill.

Went thru there about 6:45 this morning.
A full size pickup was under the impression he had traction on the wet road.
He was wrong
but the small sedan he slammed into the back of had been able to stop
Folks were standing around

Mock crash at Calvert High this morning. The 911 call was a recording they use to "set the scene" so to say for the students at mock crash.

Real accident at around 1:15 pm today on rt 4 and the intersection at the Food Lion shopping center. Looked like a small pickup and another car. Pickup front end was smashed up; left lanes blocked both ways.

ah ok because if they were conducting a real drill of an accident scene on route 4 during the morning commute i'd have to question Calvert's finest on that one :whistle:
