Shes a slacker, and shes so busy that she has just forgot the little things. I have hired her a wedding coordinator just to help stay organized that day.

Put a cake order at a grocery store.

Here's an idea...

Buy a whole sheet cake, a 1/2 sheet cake, and a 1/4 sheet cake decorated in basic white icing. Stack them one on top of the other and use cake topper, silk flowers, plastic bells, etc. (found at any craft store - even WalMart) to decorate. The colored squeeze icing sold at grocery stores can be used to coordinate with whatever colors they use. If that much cake is not needed, just a 1/2 sheet and a 1/4 sheet would work.

Jeeze I was finished with all that in February.

Oh, another suggestion...get the little organza gift bags from Michael's (they run like $20.00 for 50. Go to the Factory Card Outlet in Waldorf, get M&M's that coordinate with the bride's colors (about $5.00 for 7 ounces). Mix the m&m's up and dump them in the bags (about 2 ounces per bag). Tie them up, and viola - cute little party favor.

Yeah she just did the Big things and forgot the little stuff. She works 6 days a week and had no help with any of this. I believe that she thought that she was not going to marry due to finances, but then Dad came along and paid for somethings which helped out alot.

i have the dress, i have the photographer, booked the church and hall, have the chair covers lol, have the centerpieces, have save the dates cards. i need table linens, still looking into different djs, wedding cake, tiara, shoes, we've picked out just about all the decorations and were buying them as our paydays go along lol.

Most favors do end up getting tossed in the trash - or eaten. I think the cd idea would stand more of a chance of being appreciated and remembered than anything else.

Here's a couple inexpensive easy favors that I helped make for my brother's wedding years ago.

1. take a plastic spoon, put 2 hershey's kisses on it and wrap in tulle and ribbon. I believe precut circular tulle is available at Michaels. Attach the following poem. Just type it up and print out label size duplicates and cut out.

A Spoonful of Love
And A Couple of Kisses
Now (groom's name) and (bride's name)
