I was eating fried potato's everyday, twice a day.. Now the thought of them makes me :dead: Sometimes I crave salads, taco bell but I don't go out and get it.. I'll just eat whatever... I'm not even craving ice cream anymore.. :ohwell: I'm fixing green split peas which I cant stand so we shall see.

HA! I was eating baked potatoes everyday until I found out that I shouldn't be eating baked potatoes because of my hypermesis (sps?). I'm into salads too, watermelon is a good time in my tummy, I don't love pineapple as much as I did pre-pregnancy.
Split pea... on a day like today, sounds good.

I'm no longer pregnant (son is now 11 wks old) but while pregnant, I always had cravings for spicy food. Most often was buffalo chicken (wings or boneless wings, buffalo tenders on salads, etc) and salsa. I also craved Sakura's avocado and cucumber sushi and ate a lot of that for 9 months.
I started to get heartburn around month 7 but still craved & ate spicy foods. I just lived on Tums every night before bed and drank milk more than ever.

I am also craving sushi, I usually make it at home so I don't have to worry about eating raw or eating off of shared prep surfaces of Sashimi. I'm thinking of making it tonight, I'm craving Philly rolls but I can't have smoked salmon :frown:

I am not pregnant. Haven't been for 15 years. :diva:
But I did have a MAJOR craving for Hostess cupcakes. I could eat a box a day - and did. :faint:
Could explain why my son was 10 1/2 pounds.

Not pregnant now- but when I was pregnant with skeeter, I was pretty normal- but I did wake up 1 morning and said "hrm, I wonder what sauerkraut would taste like on a pizza".. Dh was like WHAT?! Luckily I didn't go through with it- cause I would have probably thrown up.
However, I couldn't look at mayo AT ALL. Especially miracle whip. If I saw even a jar- I would get sick.

When I was pregnant with my first child, I put cool whip on my pizza before I found out I was pregnant. My hubby gave me a look like I'm weird or something.

Almost the entire time I was pregnant with my daughter, all I wanted were HOT wings. Boneless, wing dings, it didn't matter, as long as they were SPICY!!! :killingme Can't forget the reese cups either... though as many of those as I ate, I still had a little 6 and a half pounder.
I knew I was pregnant when the smell of steamed crabs/crab legs made me gag - I was born and raised on the lower eastern shore, I was eating crabs while I was still drinking from a bottle :killingme Guess I was lucky I wasn't allergic.

Yes, he knew before I did. He made me take the EPT and I tried to tell him that I wasn't pregnant.

Cheese. I can't get enough cheese. Cheddar, string cheese, colby jack, american, ricotta, etc. Made a pizza last night with ricotta, pepperoni and mozzarella and it was delish. The kids gobbled it up. BUT the tomato sauce gave me horrible heartburn.
Spicy stuff makes my stomach turn right now so there will be none of that. With my oldest I would eat jars of the hot mix (carrots, jalapenos, onions) and be fine.

I'm not pregnant but I often have cravings for jalapeno poppers, caesar salad and sushi (not at the same time, lol). It's gonna suck not to have sushi when I do end up preggers...I could probably eat it every single day.

That's me too! I asked the Dr. if there was a problem I should be worried about and he said I'm fine.
How are you feeling, any signs of labor?

I have made the sushi with cooked fish, but not smoked, you're not supposed to have that.

Yeah, I guess you could do the tempura stuff but I really REALLY love tuna and salmon (raw)
OMG...ok, I'm having sushi for lunch today

When I was pregnant, I ate the hell out of some sushi and sashimi. Even if it was "supposedly" bad for an expectant mother, it didn't stop me.
I also drank a big glass of chocolate milk each night, and ate a spoonful of marshmallow fluff every morning.

No, not temupura :barf: You can do the steam shrimp and fish.... You're right, it's not the same. When I'm working, bf and my son go out for sushi so I don't have to sit there and suffer b/c I won't eat from sushi made on a surface that was used in making sashimi, nigiri and all that yummy raw..... plus your cravings and palate changes when you're knocked up so some of this you don't even miss.
Enjoy your lunch today!

I craved spicy Mexican food and fried foods -- all the stuff that they tell you not to eat. I never got heartburn from it either. The thought of eating anything remotely healthy made me want to :barf: and my last meal before going into labor was Mexican food.

Craving ice chips is a possible symptom for anemia. Not sure about in pregnancy but I have a friend, who is not pregnant, who craves ice chips whenever her iron is low.
