Dear Dean Lumber/Hollywood Optimist Club,
It's congratulations with a T, not congradulations with a D. I see this every year somewhere in the area.

I often see it with a "D" during graduation time. I just assumed they did it during this time for the Grads....

It says Congradulations Grads. Drives me nuts. Same way I feel about people that intentionally spell the name of their business wrong. There's a daycare on GMR that spells kids with a Z, KIDZ. Ugh.

Think I have said my view on that before but I will say it again, it is their business it is supposed to have something unique and original about it. Kids is overused for everything... So since it is THEIR business it is not spelled wrong at all.
However I do agree with the congratulations part. Spelling it with a D is a bit off the wall and annoying.

I try not to patronize any business that replaces the letter 's' with 'z'.

When they are advertising their business as being a learning environment for kids, there is a problem with spelling it KIDZ.

The scary part is that our children aren't going to have a fighting chance. I know two young women who are in college to become elementary school teachers. Neither of them could write two sentences without a misspelling or grammatical error.

All of the text messaging does not help either with grammar and spelling. I have heard of instances where teenagers/twenty-somethings are filling out job applications and/or submitting resumes with texting lingo. If I were an employer, I would immediately throw out those applications!

My daughter and I were heading to Baltimore last Friday and a large flatbed tow truck passed us on Rt. 301 with a huge sign permanently painted on their back window which looked great except it said "Congradulations" to someone or something. We couldn't get past the awful spelling to read the rest of it. I am very proud to say that our daughter is one of the 20% of new college graduates who received a fantastic job offer with a great company and detests bad spellers as much as I do.
God bless our men, women, and families of our United States Military! :patriot:

They're not. They're wearing muzzles because they tend to get a little competitive and can nip when they're racing.

2 other signs that get me....
There is a gas station in Hollywood with a big sign that says "We except debit cards" (Everyday I wonder if they mean they accept them, or they accept everything but them...)
And there is a sign going southbound in Mechanicsville that says "Opps! You missed us! Turn around for.... (such and such business)" I can't even remember the name of the business since I am so preoccupied with the misspelling of "Oops".

And the flower/pumpkin stand on 234 just past Bayside Road that says Pansys.
