I have no idea. I read the book, but missed the miniseries and didn't pay attention when it got put on DVD I guess. I'm kinda glad I did, watching it on my big screen was much better than it would have been.

If you enjoyed Lonesome Dove, try Broken Trail! Hubby and I watch both of these every so often and like them just as much each time!!

I can't say enough bout that movie, I have never seen a movie that nailed the characters from the book so perfectly. Read the book, then kinda half heartedly started watching the mini-series, expecting the worst. It's probably the only movie/mini series that I have ever seen where I think it was better than the book, and in my book, thats damn near impossible to do.

You should really see it! Great movie/series. I remember watching it when it was a kid and just fell in love w/ it. I need to pull it out and watch it again. You will not be disaapointed.
