Just finished watching this, wow it was great. Don't watch it if you are easily offended because the main character played by Clint Eastwood does not have a politically correct cell in his body.

I liked the movie but I felt that the story needed more depth if you know what I mean...........

Good movie but I think it's been overhyped.

Good movie. :yay: You have to understand the mentality of those folks that fought in Korea and WWII to see why he said all the racial remarks that he did. I remember my Father and my Uncles when they talked about it. The dislike for the Japanese and Germans they had was evident. When my cousin married a Japanese girl...:yikes:..the whole family went crazy. Eventually they found out how nice she was and was accepted as family.

Excellant movie. :yay: Clint once again captures the American spirit that made this country great.
--- Did anybody else think that in several scenes his face looked exactly like Jeff Dunham's "Walter"?

We thoroughly enjoyed Gran Tourino. Saw it back in January when we were in Myrtle Beach, and were just waiting for the DVD to be released! :yay:

It's not a perfect movie -- the supporting actors are mediocre, the message is delivered in a fairly heavy-handed way -- but it's definitely worth seeing, if only for Clint's dedicated, powerful performance. He gives this character his all. I believe a lot of his other directorial efforts this decade are superior to Gran Torino, such as Mystic River, Letters from Iwo Jima, and Changeling, but it's still definitely a solid movie and another strong credit for Clint.
