Just went out to pick up take out. I put all the windows down since it's nice out. They all went back up except one, the passenger front side. I'm soooo f#@*ing :tantrum. Figures crap breaks when I have NO extra money.

I say take the door panel off and check it out yourself. electric doors arent difficult to work on. the hardest part is getting the door panel off.
most of the time it just needs some grease.

Thanks for the suggestion. Hubby thought maybe the motor died. Next problem will be finding the time. Hubby flies home tomorrow, we go to OC for a ball tourney then he flies out Tues. Man, June has been a crappy month for me.
push the button to raise the window and hold it in while slamming the door.

Would you do this while sitting in the drivers seat using those controls or the passenger seat controls?

either one.
most the time when the window motor craps out its only dirty contacts.
slamming the door can jar it loose and let it come back up at least once.

I just about "bent" the damn door slamming the daylights out of it. Still wouldn't go up. I'll try again in the morning.

We had a 2002 Ford Explorer same issue..
If it's the same, a cable left it's track and cable tore up the spool.. Had to replace the entire assembly..

Hello hun. Actually, hubby will be the first to loose his temper with it. We had a Honda Accord many moons ago. The same thing happened, got it fixed. Then it happened again. Needless to say I heard him outside cussing like a sailor and then the sound of glass shattering. Wasn't pretty,.
Are you serious, lol? Got plenty of beer though :buddies:
drink all the beer first.
the torch and 2x4 will be clear at that point.

I'm sure it won't be a simple fix since this is me we're talking about. :cds:

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone. Went out this morning, held the up button and slammed the door......nothing. Sat there pushing the stupid button- up down, up down, up down.... then I thought I heard a noise. Held the up button out comes the window.:yahoo: I put that sucker all the way up and left it,. Now it will have to stay there till I get a few extra duckets to get it properly fixed. :nomoney: I'll just have to try to remember DO NOT PUT THAT WINDOW DOWN!!! when I'm putting the others down.

I suggest a small piece of blue painters tape on the switch, to remind you. No residue when it comes off.

I thought about taping it when I rode out today. I locked the windows from drivers side so anyone who sits there won't accidentally put the window down (also so I won't "accidentally" lock up on the brakes when they are not paying attention causing the seatbelt to lock and choke them, ).
I just might have some painters tape in the garage.
