I need to get a copy of the plat for my residence in Calvert County. Does anyone have any suggestions? Which building has Land and Records. I could not find it on county website.
Thanks so much. Appreciate any help

You should be able to call up the people that surveyed your house and find that out.
Also its a package from the health department they should have it as well.

I've found my plat online before, but can't remember what website. Also, you can get a plat in the old courthouse, I believe. If they haven't moved that office.

Do you have a copy of the deed? If so, it may have book and page (Liber and Folio) reference numbers that you can use here. If you don't have a copy of the deed, let me know and I'll tell you how to get it.

If its a House Location Survey Plat for the purpose of refinancing or selling the court house land records does not keep these on file. You should have received one when you purchased property, if not you will need to contact a Land Surveyor and have them do one for you. They cost about $300.00.

There's a site online you can pull it up, but it's a site you've gotta pay to get in to. If you go to the courthouse in Leonardtown, they can also pull plats.

Yeah, but you just have to sign up and ANYBODY can get a password. It's not a big deal...takes a day or so.

Yeah, but the link I provided bypasses the password page and goes straight to the county specific page - so a password shouldn't be needed.

:yeahthat: Plus, even if you don't set up an account to use it - the generic account is login name: plato, password: plato#. So, anyone can use it, with or without an account.

Well, you can come close by looking at the tax records. This at least will show you (if you look at "map") how the land looks in relationship to the rest of the neighborhood. Not a specific plat, like from your surveyor, but close.
