are really cute. My husband rescued one this morning. Its mom and siblings were dead on the side of the road.
Are you going to get the glands taken out so you can keep it?

Thank you for calling me at 6:54 this morning asking about where to get help for them!!!
I am so glad a rabie vector species licensed rehabber was able to take them!!!
Congratulation for rescuing the baby and being its hero!!!:yahoo:
FYI: No matter how cute the baby wild animal may be...it is against Maryland state law to keep any wildlife captive without proper permits.
It is against state law to de-scent a skunk and keep it as a pet.
No vet in the state will do such an operation and to take it across state lines to have it done is illegal also.
Skunks are classified as rabie vector species, and have been known to transmit rabies to humans.
As you know, rabies is always fatal to humans unless post exposure vaccines are given in time!
Again, thank you for rescuing this baby!!! :huggy:

So sorry for waking you up this morning. :huggy:
I still had your card from when you got the baby squirrels from my attic.
We were able to take it to the rescue in Lusby.

It's OK! I went back to sleep fpr another hour!!!!
I am working on my RVS license...but cant take in RVS critters until then.
Ron is a good rehabber and will take real good care of your skunk!
And I remember the squirrels..they were raised and later released to the great wild woods far away from people and attics!:lmao:
Thanks for taking the time to stop and save the baby!!:patriot:

My husband said it looked so sad, staying by its mom. He said he just had to turn around and pick it up.
