Hubby, Son, and I were heading to WaWa in Charlotte Hall this morning and I noticed a sign across from the new True Value shopping center (white with red block letters) stuck in the ground that said Red Lobster. Practical joke, or for real? Also, Son said that one of his friends who works HVAC said his company had put in a bid for work on a Texas Roadhouse in the same area... Let the rumors fly!!!!! :starcat:

Well I'll chime in ... I heard it was going to be a Chic Filet (not sure if I spelled that correctly) but what I want to know is when the Safeway is going in next to the Tidewater vet ??? We sure do need a grocery store down here I'm so frustrated with Food Lion , 20 mins to shop and 120 mins to check out !!!!!!!

I heard tonight about the Texas Roadhouse, so if we have 2 forumites confirming they've heard the rumor then it must be true! :yahoo:

Wondering if we should start calling Corporate and make our reservations?

Food Lion gets away with a whole lot because they have us all by the throat knowing they have such little competition. I have said HELL WITH IT ALL… and I go to La Plata to shop. I think a Chick-fil-A would be great around there but this area really needs a nice sit down restaurant.

Red Lobster is not coming to Charlotte Hall. At least there have been no app submitted to P&Z. Haven't seen anyting for Texas Road House either. If any chain is coming they would more likely be along 235 in California/LP or in Leonardtown.

Unless Auto Zone started selling food recently, you will not be able to eat anything from whats being built. Practical joke by someone to get everyone's hopes up.:lmao:

PS: I didnt do it, but it was good sense of humor for whoever did it.

Chinese carry out, and one other retail space for lease.

I'll have to ask my source, next time I see him about the Safeway, was wondering about it yesterday as I drove by. I had heard that they were breaking ground in June.

 That place is a joke

I once went into Food Lion and asked for their rancid meat and rotting produce. The manager was indignant and said, "Sir, we can't sell you merchandise like that!" I said, "Sure you can, I bought it here last week"

I was going to say their prices, unless they one heck of a sale going on. Outside of that, they are too damn expensive.

And the meat, produce, seafood in that particular store is awful. It smells like rotten meat when you even walk in there. :dead:
